As parents, when our children are going through things that are different and strange, we immediately panic and seek help .
However, some children might go through things that some people have never even heard of. As you can imagine, this can also give p arents a ton of anxiety . When this happens, parents oftentimes turn to social media and ask other parents for help, hoping that they will have some advice to help out.

Children oftentimes have strange habits when they are young.
Eating things and putting strange things in their mouth is not uncommon for young children. Many parents often have to keep an eye on their child who particularly likes to put anything and everything in their mouths. That can be a real hazard.
However, sometimes parents find their kids eating things that they probably never even imagined.
After all, when your kid is doing things that others do, you can at least look to other parents for help. But what happens when a parent feels like they’re all alone? What happens when they’re battling something they have never even heard of before?
One mom is going through just that.
25-year-old mom Jordanna Tait has been having to work extra hard to watch her 2-year-old daughter who has developed a bad habit of eating the wall in her bedroom. Yup, you read that right.
Jordanna said her daughter developed something called Pica.
Pica is an eating disorder where a person eats things that are “not considered food.” It can be literally anything, just because someone might be curious about the taste and texture of an item.
Her daughter, Dolly, has Pica, and it is quite severe.
The condition has her eating the walls in her bedroom, as well as cardboard and other things around the house. Jordanna says that the condition has gotten so bad that it has uprooted the entire family’s life.
Jordanna has had to quit her job to stay home with her daughter full-time.
Her daughter’s condition has gotten so bad that she had to stop working, in order to watch her daughter full-time. She has to make sure she doesn’t eat things in the house that can seriously harm her.
Doctors said that Dolly is on the spectrum, as well.
According to Jordanna , the doctor said that Dolly is on the spectrum. That being said, they haven’t officially given her a diagnosis.
The mom said that there is no help for her Pica.
“A pediatrician has said verbally that she is on the autism spectrum, we’re just waiting for a formal diagnosis. I do get help for her autism, she has portage workers from the council and they’re fantastic. But there’s no help for the Pica,” she told reporters .
So far, Dolly has eaten the wall and even the remote controls.
She started to notice things at around 12 months old, Dolly had had cardboard books of hers eaten in the corners and ripped up. Some of the walls by her crib, as well.
Due to this, Jordanna’s anxiety has also gotten really bad.
“I struggle every single day. Dolly needs constant supervision at all times. We have to keep our eyes on her,” she said.
So now, she is asking for any and all help that she can get.
“I’ve had to fight for everything, it’s one of the reasons I had to quit work so I could help her. I didn’t want her to go through school with no help. I’m just a typical mum, I don’t know where to go for that help,” the mom pleaded.
This is so frustrating, I really feel for her!
