There’s nothing that shakes the whole industry to its core than a cheating scandal and when some of the big names of Hollywood are involved the details are even juicier.
Keep reading to unveil the details of Robert Lange and Mary-Anne’s cheating scandal and how his ex-wife Shania Twain is coping after the divorce.
A Relationship Built On Cheating
15 years after the affair of Robert Lange with Mary-Anne Thiébaud was exposed it has been revealed that the two are still in a relationship.
Podcast Revelations
The revelation came on the Armchair Expert podcast where Shanka Twain told her co-hosts, Monica Padman and Dax Shepard, how she and ex-husband Robert Lange have been co-parenting.
Similar Priorities

She explained how co-parenting is easy for them since they share the same priority which is the well-being of their son Eja, “Mutt and I parent well together — for people who don’t talk to each other. We’ll just text.”
A Beautiful Surprise
She later confirmed that Lange and Thiébaud were still together and shared details about her relationship with Frédérick, Thiébaud’s ex-husband, and how it came as a “beautiful surprise.”
A Game Of Musical Chairs
Talking about the couple swap between the two exes, Twain joked about it being a game of “musical chairs” but later revealed that before her divorce she “didn’t know Fred very well.”
The Perfect Balance

Discussing her husband, Twain revealed, “how gracefully and graciously he was dealing with navigating the same pain.” She explained that while she was “fragile”, Frédérick balanced the emotional seesaw by being “thoughtful.”
That’s True Love Right There
Gushing about Frédérick she said, “Fréd’s so smart. This is one of the smartest people I know, he didn’t know either. That helped me feel better. I got what I deserve. I got the greatest man on the planet.”
Finding Out About The Affair
Going back to the time she found out about the affair, Twain revealed that it was just one day after her ex-husband had asked for a divorce.
A Panic Attack

Recalling that time Twain said, “I had a total panic attack. I just told her that she was a bad person – that’s all I could get out!”
A Friend Or A Snake
Shania became close friends with Mary-Anne when the latter was hired for the post of assistant and interpreter for Lange.
Ready To Die

Following the divorce, Twain published her memoir titled “From This Moment On” in which she revealed being “ready to die” after the split.
Dodging The Question
Trying to get an explanation from Mary-Anne, Twain emailed her saying, “I am dying, and I can’t take it anymore. This is killing me. Have mercy,” but received no response from her.
Sharing Confidential Information
She explained that what made the whole scenario worse was that she had shared the troubles of her marriage and fear of Lange having an affair with Mary-Anne, who quickly shut down her concerns and made her feel “foolish” for having such thoughts.
The Truth Comes Out

It was Frederick who told Shania about the affair, sharing the phone bills and hotel receipts he had found and also informed her about the lingerie and garter belt Mary-Anne had packed for a trip she was seemingly taking “alone.”
Desperate For A Lifestyle Upgrade
In the memoir, Shania said, “I was disgusted that another woman’s lust for a lifestyle upgrade was worth the devastation of my family.”
Twisted Irony
However, things ultimately worked out in Twain’s favor as she and Frédérick turned to each other for help and friendship that soon turned into love.
A New Lease On Love
The two got married in 2011 prompting Shania to believe in love again “I don’t take any day for granted anymore. Fred has given me a new lease on love.”
Little Efforts Go A Long Way
Although Shania had her concerns about getting into a relationship with the ex-husband of the woman who broke her family, Frédérick who refers to Twain as “sunshine” won her over little by little.
Romantic Gestures
Frédérick has since then surprised Shania with various romantic gestures and says about his wife, “To express my love, words are not enough. I’m more in love with her every day.”
