This year’s Oscars ceremony wasn’t without its controversies (still thinking about that Best Picture win, tbh), but I think there were a lot of positive moments, too.
One of those positives was Jason Momoa attending, and I was so happy he was asked to present this year.
Being the great guy that he is, Jason shared some behind-the-scenes pics from the Oscars on his Instagram, and they’re giving me major FOMO.
In case you missed it, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet attended this year’s Oscars ceremony and basically shut down the red carpet.
The couple wore coordinating outfits in a gorgeous dusty pink. Jason’s velvet suit (with a matching scrunchie) made the top of every best dressed list and we still can’t get over Lisa’s elegant gown.
By now, we’ve all seen the red carpet photos, but a few behind-the-scenes pics shared on Jason’s Instagram show where the real party happened.
First, there’s this awesome picture of Jason and Helen Mirren rehearsing together before the broadcast. I’ve gotta say, I love Jason’s Hawaiian shirt!
I don’t know who thought of pairing these two together to present, but it was genius.
Their faces in this selfie really say it all. So, when is Helen going to make an appearence in Aquaman ?
Can we make this a real thing?
I would pay good money to see these two in any movie together. Netflix, are you listening? I have your next big hit right here!
He even partied with some of the winners backstage.
Jason and Helen presented the award for Best Documentary Feature and Jason shared this photo on his Instagram of himself with one of the winning filmmakers. I’d make that face if I had just won an Oscar, too.

Well, this is a little awkward because, clearly, my invitation was lost in the mail. It’s okay, guys. Let’s recreate this photo together next year!

Yes, that is Jason next to Barbra Streisand. I hope someone has framed this photo and sent it away for preservation because this is a historic moment, folks.
Also, there was this pic that made “Game of Thrones” fans like myself scream.
Jason reunited with his Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke backstage. He shared a picture of their reunion on Instagram with the caption, “Me and my QUEENS”.
I think I died and went to heaven.
It didn’t stop there, though.
Jason shared another sweet pic of himself and Emilia writing, “So proud of you @emilia_clarke I love u with all my heart Aloha Drogo.”

Okay, I was not ready to be this emotional. After this and the “Shallow” duet, I’m done for the week.
We know that these two are good friends, but it was just so great to see them together again.
True friendship is just so rare these days and honestly, my heart skipped a beat seeing these photos.
A few people were disappointed that Emilia and Jason didn’t present together.
I mean, I get where they’re coming from, but I did like seeing Jason and Helen together. Maybe next year!
So, I think it’s fair to say that Jason and Lisa had an awesome time at the Oscars.
