The new year starts with devastating news for friends and families of legend and rapper Lola Mitchell, popularly known as Gangsta Boo . She was a member of hip hop group Three 6 Mafia, and was found dead on her front porch on New Year’s day.

Cause Of Death
The 43 year old rapper was pronounced dead upon authorities arrival at her house around 4.00 p.m. local time. Sources connected to the rapper have told TMZ that her death may be drug-related.
The source continued that she was with her brother last night at a local concert in Memphis when he passed out from an overdose as they went into the night.
While he got out of the situation, people present at Gangsta Boo’s death scene speculated narcotics were discovered on her and a fentanyl-laced substance may be the culprit.
Confirming The Tragic Incident
Her unfortunate death was confirmed by Three 6 Mafia member DJ Paul in an Instagram post. He paid tribute to the star and the comment section was filled with condolences from fellow rappers in the industry.
Rapper 2 Chainz commented “Mannnnn” with a teary eyed emoji while Lil Jon added, “MAN WE WAS JUST TOGETHER 3 WEEKS AGO, REST WELL QUEEN”
Ty Dolla $ign expressed condolences and wrote “Long live my home girl Gangsta Boo, Queen of the M” via his Twitter account.
Gangsta Boo Musical Journey
The 43 year old was the second member of Three 6 Mafia, with her career starting in the 90s where she joined Paul, Juicy J and other members of the rap group. She was one of the only female rappers in the group.
Mitchell then went on to release her solo albums and also featured on Three 6 Mafia’s first 5 studio albums including their first ever album which debuted in 1995 and titled Mystic Stylez.
