Brad Pitt, 58, is taking ex-wife Angelina Jolie, 47, to court after new papers in an ongoing lawsuit allege Angelina sought to harm Brad and his wine brand when she sold her half of the business.
Obviously, contentious legal battles between celebrities is something we’ve been hearing a lot about in the news recently, and the ongoing legal issues between Brad and Angie is only just heating up.
Brad and Angelina were together for 10 years, but divorced after two years of marriage in 2016.

Their split hasn’t exactly been amicable. Between various custody issues for five of their six children and claims made by Angelina about Brad’s treatment of their children , it’s fair to say that their divorce has been contentious.
It’s been made even more so by new papers filed by Brad’s legal team in the lawsuit filed against Angelina for selling her part of a wine brand the two owned together.
The papers allege that Angelina made the sale to “inflict harm” on Brad and his business.
“Jolie pursued and then consummated the purported sale in secret, purposely keeping Pitt in the dark, and knowingly violating Pitt’s contractual rights,” The Daily Mail reports . “By doing so, Jolie sought to seize profits she had not earned and returns on an investment she did not make. Also through the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict harm on Pitt.”
The lawsuit against Angelina states that she “did nothing” to contribute to the business herself.
“Miraval’s success and associated rise in value offered Jolie an opportunity to capitalize on Pitt’s success and cash out, without contributing anything at all to the enterprise. Pitt was prepared to buy Jolie out, either in whole or in part, on reasonable terms,” the papers state.
“She did nothing to drive the growth of its business. Instead, she allowed Pitt to make these investments and devote himself to the business in reliance on the consent right she owed him.”
Brad is seeking a trial by jury in this case.
This is reminding many fans of the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Ambert Heard, with one fan going so far as to suggest Brad should hire Johnny’s lawyer. “Brad Pitt should hire Camille Vasquez of Brown Rudnick! Someone call Brad!” they tweeted .
