Timing is everything when it comes to the rare images that couple Channing Tatum and Jessie J just shared on Instagram.
That's because it comes just days after Channing's ex, Jenna Dewan, revealed that she's "gutted" from their divorce.
The pair first met and fell in love on the set of the 2006 movie, Step Up.
Sure, they kept it professional, but we all knew there was something bigger going on here. You can't just fake that kind of passion, guys. You just can't.
A few years later, in 2013, they welcomed their daughter, Everly, into the world, and their small, perfect family was complete.
Making us all believe in love and ish like that.
They weren't like other celeb couples. They were goofy and honest. They made us laugh and they made us feel things.
Remember when they were on Lip Sync Battle together? Truly iconic.
April 2, 2018, to be exact.
Or, as it's known in my diary, the worst day of my life.
Which is all you can really hope for after a divorce. It would be a shame to see the family unit irreparably broken. They understand their daughter needs them and they're going to be there for her, together.
The couple has now been together for a year, but they keep things low-key on social media by not posting too many pictures together.
In her new book, Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday, she shares how she first heard the news of Channing and Jessie.
"I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn't have to face — and over the internet, as it was happening. There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship," she said.
As she explained, "I was blindsided."
She even admitted that she had gone down a different path at first by writing a series of angry tweets, which she later deleted.
"Had I not been practicing this way of life beforehand, I definitely wouldn't have handled this news very gracefully."
Which is understandable. We've all been there after a breakup, and it's certainly not easy to keep your cool, let alone while you're in the public's eye, like Jenna.
"Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult."
"I was just gutted. It was so difficult for me."
"What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24, I didn’t know life without Chan."
"The separation tested me in ways I hadn't thought possible. I started to wonder if everything I believed in and always talked about was real. Could anyone or anything ever be trusted?"
"Here’s the honest truth about my breakup: Yes, I carried a rose quartz in my bra and yes, I took herbal supplements to help me heal, but also my mom flew in to be by my side and I called my friends late at night to sob into their ears."
“You need to embrace it all and allow everything positive and productive to be part of the process."
"It is very important to surround yourself with people who lift you up, make you feel loved and appreciated.”
The timing of this is definitely suspect!
They spent some time at a beach and near a Ferris wheel.
In the next image, they cozied up while walking, as Tatum put his arm around the singer.
For more surprising revelations, Jenna's new book, Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday, is out now!
