Channing Tatum And Jessie J Post On Instagram After Jenna Dewan Says She Was 'Gutted' From Divorce

Timing is everything when it comes to the rare images that couple Channing Tatum and Jessie J just shared on Instagram.

That's because it comes just days after Channing's ex, Jenna Dewan, revealed that she's "gutted" from their divorce.

Even though it's been over a year since Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan broke up, we're still not over it.

The pair first met and fell in love on the set of the 2006 movie, Step Up.

Their onscreen chemistry was more than just super good acting.

Sure, they kept it professional, but we all knew there was something bigger going on here. You can't just fake that kind of passion, guys. You just can't.

The pair were officially married on July 11, 2009.

A few years later, in 2013, they welcomed their daughter, Everly, into the world, and their small, perfect family was complete.

They were together for five long years after Everly arrived.

Making us all believe in love and ish like that.

Honestly, these two had us all wrapped up in their fairy-tale romance, and we totally obsessed.

They weren't like other celeb couples. They were goofy and honest. They made us laugh and they made us feel things.

Remember when they were on Lip Sync Battle together? Truly iconic.

Hope in love was pretty much shattered when the couple announced their separation in 2018.

April 2, 2018, to be exact.

Or, as it's known in my diary, the worst day of my life.

In a joint statement, they wrote that they will remain a loving family for their six-year-old daughter, Everly.

Which is all you can really hope for after a divorce. It would be a shame to see the family unit irreparably broken. They understand their daughter needs them and they're going to be there for her, together.

As surprising as the split was, it was even more shocking when Channing began dating singer Jessie J only six months after.

The couple has now been together for a year, but they keep things low-key on social media by not posting too many pictures together.

If the world was blindsided by the news of their relationship, Jenna was even more so.

In her new book, Gracefully You: Finding Beauty and Balance in the Everyday, she shares how she first heard the news of Channing and Jessie.

As it turns out, Jenna heard about it how most of us heard about it: through the internet.

"I was learning things about my ex most people wouldn't have to face — and over the internet, as it was happening. There I was, on a plane, alone, finding out about his new relationship," she said.

Understandably, the shock of both the news and how she heard about it combined to make for an unpleasant experience.

As she explained, "I was blindsided."

The title of her book is a fitting one since the actress chose to act "gracefully" instead of lashing out.

She even admitted that she had gone down a different path at first by writing a series of angry tweets, which she later deleted.

"Instead of reacting the way I wanted to, I asked myself this: 'How do I choose grace in this moment?'"

Instagram | @jennadewan

"Had I not been practicing this way of life beforehand, I definitely wouldn't have handled this news very gracefully."

She added: "It was quite a challenge to remain graceful to say the least."

Which is understandable. We've all been there after a breakup, and it's certainly not easy to keep your cool, let alone while you're in the public's eye, like Jenna.

"That's when your real character comes out," she explained.

Instagram | @jennadewan

"Choosing grace as I learned everything about my personal situation along with the rest of the world was really difficult."

Additionally, the 38-year-old dancer expressed how she was "gutted" in general by the divorce.

Instagram | @jennadewan

"I was just gutted. It was so difficult for me."

"It was the loss of an idealistic future for myself and my life."

Instagram | @jennadewan

"What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24, I didn’t know life without Chan."

She continued:

Instagram | @jennadewan

"The separation tested me in ways I hadn't thought possible. I started to wonder if everything I believed in and always talked about was real. Could anyone or anything ever be trusted?"

To heal from the breakup, she tried many things.

Instagram | @jennadewan

"Here’s the honest truth about my breakup: Yes, I carried a rose quartz in my bra and yes, I took herbal supplements to help me heal, but also my mom flew in to be by my side and I called my friends late at night to sob into their ears."

She then offered wisdom to those who may be struggling.

Instagram | @jennadewan

“You need to embrace it all and allow everything positive and productive to be part of the process."

As she explained, a good support system is everything.

Instagram | @jennadewan

"It is very important to surround yourself with people who lift you up, make you feel loved and appreciated.”

Now, in the wake of Jenna's revealing statements, Channing and Jessie just posted some rare images of their love on Instagram.

The timing of this is definitely suspect!

In the images posted to Jessie's Instagram stories, the pair seemed super in love.

They spent some time at a beach and near a Ferris wheel.

They were also photographed on bikes taking a romantic cruise.

In the next image, they cozied up while walking, as Tatum put his arm around the singer.

In other words, despite Jenna's book, it looks like this couple is going strong!
