Fashion can be subjective and often there are many rules that get thrown out of the window. But there are certain rules when it comes to undergarments that every lady should know.
Today I’ve put together a list of underwear rules that you should absolutely keep in mind before you step foot outside of the comfort of your house.
1. Sheer Blouses
A few years ago it was perfectly acceptable to wear a different color bra under a sheer blouse but today that look is considered a faux pas.
2. Bra Size
Another important thing to keep in mind when it comes to bras is that size does matter. You absolutely must wear the right size to fit right.
3. Get Measured
Speaking of wearing the wrong bra for your size. There’s a simple solution for that. Make sure you get properly measured so you know your correct size.
Unless you spend your life waiting for that wardrobe malfunction just make sure you keep the girls where they belong ladies.
It’s never a good look otherwise. Trust me!
4. Replace Your Undergarments
Yes, this sounds like common sense but you’d be surprised how many people wear their undergarments way past their expiry date. If it looks embarrassing, it is!
It’s never a good look to have that ripped bra show under your white wife beater.
Or is it? LOL. I think not. My advice: stay classy ladies.
5. Wear The Right Tights
Tights can make a break an outfit. Stick to subtle colors like nude, gray, or black for work and save bright patterns for party time.
6. Stockings Etiquette
On the same token, stockings can be so fun to wear. But it’s never appropriate to show your garter belts unless you’re at a Halloween party.

7. Thong Out
Since we’re on the subject on panties, let’s discuss thongs. Whether you’re a fan or not just make sure they don’t stick out of your pants okay?
If you’re going for that, “I don’t care look” I totally understand.
Otherwise just avoid showing your underwear in public because I assure you, that’s way sexier in the end.
8. Seamless Panties
There are so many types of panties, it’s easy to get confused. So when wearing tight pants opt for seamless panties to not show lines.
9. Bralettes
Bralettes are bras without any underwire so they usually work better for smaller busted ladies. And they don’t really provide too much support so they’re mainly for show.
10. Showing Your Bra
Since we’re on the topic of bras in general, a good rule of thumb is to make sure your bra isn’t showing. It just looks juvenile. Instead, opt for a corset-style top which will still give you a sexy and classy look.
I know these underwear rules may seem boring to you.
But it’s always better to look more polished and put together than a train wreck. Or is it just me?
