The '90s were an incredible time to be alive. It was a decade defined by boy bands, grunge music, and some of the hottest celebrity couples in the history of Hollywood.

As we approach the halfway point of this new year, I thought it would be fun to inject a little nostalgia into our day. Have a look and check out these 5+ celebrity couples from 1999 who are still together (and 5+ who aren't).

The ex-soccer star and former Spice Girl tied the knot in 1999. Victoria and David have been happily married ever since and share four children together.

Could they be the best-looking couple on the planet? Signs point to yes.

Gwen and Gavin's marriage of 13 years came to an end when reports began to surface that Gavin was having an affair with the nanny.

As soon as it was confirmed, Gwen quickly filed for a divorce.

Still Together: Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan

Michael and Tracy are a team. The former Back to the Future star and his wife co-founded the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in the wake of Michael's diagnosis.

Hopefully, through their efforts, we'll one day find a cure.

Before their split in 2009, Susan and Tim were a foundational power-couple in Hollywood, having been together for more than 23 years.

Susan said that confronting her own mortality made her have second thoughts regarding the relationship.

Melania first met the former President back when he was a budding real estate tycoon.

At the time, she was modeling for Metropolitan Models; the co-owner of whom was friends with Donald and made the introduction.

Split Up: Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman

Ethan and Uma were married in 1998 and then divorced in 2005. The celebrated star of Training Day admits that he fell into a deep depression after the split.

It derailed not only his personal life but his career as well.

Tom and Rita are a beacon of hope; a guiding light through the storms and fury that is Hollywood's relationship woe.

The couple first met on the set of Tom's breakthrough sitcom, Bossom Buddies.

Who remembers when "Jenny From The Block" and the original Bad Boy were an item?

These two fell fast and hard but their relationship abruptly ended shortly after the couple became entangled in a shooting incident inside a nightclub.

Most '90s kids will likely remember Danny and Rhea as Harry and Zinnia Wormwood from the cherished film Matilda.

Today, Danny and Rhea choose not to live together but have absolutely no plans whatsoever to get divorced.

Split Up: Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman

Few couples turned as many heads in the '90s as Tom and Nicole. They met and fell in love on the set of Days of Thunder, got married, and have two adoptive children together.

Nicole has stated that one of her biggest concerns in staying in the marriage was Tom's devotion to Scientology.

Still Together: Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

Ferris Bueller and Carrie Bradshaw — now that's what I call a power couple!

Matthew and Carrie were introduced by Carrie's two brothers, Pippin and Toby. The two helped create the Naked Angels Theater Company, which Matthew eventually became involved with.

Split Up: Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson

Can you think of a more Rock n' Roll couple than Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson? They were like the '90s version of Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe.

Their relationship came to a halt shortly after they welcomed their first child into the world.

Still Together: Elton John and David Furnish

Elton and David are still standing after all these years!

The legendary pop star and his husband are a constant fixture in one another's lives. They met after David was invited to dinner at Elton's house via a mutual friend.

Split Up: Rebecca Romijn and John Stamos

Rebecca and John were one of Hollywood's hottest couples in the '90s but were divorced by 2005.

When asked what helped her get through the divorce, Rebecca joked that it was a lot of therapy and red wine.

Still Together: Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar

In the '90s, both Sarah and Freddie were fastly becoming iconic sex symbols in their own right.

Shortly after beginning their relationship on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer, the couple was wed and took a serious step back from acting.

Split Up: Johnny Depp and Kate Moss

Johnny and Kate were first introduced at a New York City cafe and began dating shortly thereafter.

In no time at all, the couple developed an infamous reputation for PDA and trashing hotel rooms. Both stars have been open about how their split affected them for years afterward.

Still Together: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith

Will and Jada's marriage hasn't always been smooth sailing.

Recently, it was revealed that Jada had an affair with hip-hop artist August Alsina. Instead of hiding from the truth, Will and Jada discussed the issue on Red Table Talk.

Split Up: Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth and Brad started dating shortly after filming on David Fincher's Se7en had wrapped.

The Goop founder has spoken candidly over the years about the love and admiration she has for her ex-lover and former co-star, and the pair remain friendly to this day.

Still Together: Faith Hill and Tim McGraw

Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were two of the most defining country music artists of their generation. Together, they helped to bridge the gap between mainstream pop music and country/western.

They've been married for 25 years and have three daughters together.

Split Up: Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears

For many of us, the image of Justin and Britney strutting the red carpet at the AMAs (in matching Canadian tuxedos no less) will be forever engrained in our hearts and minds.

Also, am I the only one who misses Justin's perm?

Still Together: Kelly Ripa and Mark Conseulos

Kelly and Mark first met on the set of the popular soap opera All My Children. In no time at all, things between co-stars got hot and heavy.

Then, barely a year later, the couple decided to make a trip to Las Vegas and eloped.

Still Together: Candace Cameron and Valeri Bure

Candace is married to former NHL pro, Valeri Bure. Judging from the looks of this picture, it would appear that their youngest son is set to follow in his father's footsteps.

Hugh Grant and Elizabeth Hurley were one of the most prolific power couples in all of Hollywood.

Alec and Kim first met while filming The Marrying Man. They were married within two years but unfortunately couldn't make their marriage last.

Supposedly, Alec had an incredibly volatile temper and was prone to unpredictable mood swings.

Still Together: Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell

Who would have thought that the secret to a long-lasting and healthy marriage was to never get married in the first place!?

It certainly seems to have done the trick for Kurt and Goldie, who have been happily unmarried for nearly 40 years.

Split Up: Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe

Anyone who remembers seeing Cruel Intentions in theatres understands that this film was a right of passage and one of the steamiest teen films of the decade.

Both Ryan and Reese have stated that age was the biggest determining factor in their divorce — they were simply too young to get married.

Still Together: Denzel and Pauletta Washington

When Denzel was asked on the red carpet what the secret to a long-lasting marriage was, he smiled earnestly and admitted that he didn't know.

All the Oscar-winning actor would say is "I've got a good woman."

Split Up: Madonna and Vanilla Ice

According to Vanilla Ice, it was Madonna's erratic behaviour that eventually led to their parting of ways.

The straw that broke the camel's back came after Madonna published a book of nude photos of the couple, without Vanilla Ice (Rob Winkle's) consent.

Still Together: Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness

This photo was taken as Hugh and Deb were celebrating her most recent birthday. Hugh wrote:

"Happy birthday to my incredible wife. Your courage, wit, open heartedness[sic], loyalty, creativity, joie de vivre, cheekiness and spontaneity inspire me every day. I love you so much more than any caption can convey."
