'Dog The Bounty Hunter' star Beth Chapman Rejects Chemotherapy In Favor Of Faith

Television personality Beth Chapman has publicly alluded to the fact that she will be quitting chemotherapy treatments for her cancer and will instead be relying solely on her faith to help her heal.

Chapman starred on the hit show 'Dog the Bounty Hunter' with her husband, Duane 'Dog' Chapman.

In 2017, the 51-year-old was first diagnosed with Stage Two throat cancer. After undergoing surgery, she declared herself to be fine and cancer-free.

In November 2018, Chapman had emergency surgery on her throat.

She had been rushed to the hospital to clear a blockage in her throat that prevented her from breathing.

Chapman underwent surgery for the issue.

Afterwards, Chapman posted a photo to Instagram of her and husband Dog sharing her hospital bed, along with the caption, "Another Bend in the Road yet not the End of the Road."

There was an outpouring of support from fans.

Many fans offered their prayers and support for the Chapman family during this time. There were also messages of hope, including one that said, "You shall emerge victorious."

It was at this time doctors discovered her cancer had actually spread to her lungs.

Chapman was subsequently diagnosed with Stage Four lung cancer.

Chapman allegedly began chemotherapy treatments in January 2019.

She posted a photo to Instagram of this time in which she included the hashtags "#cancersucks" and "#itsonlyhair", seemingly alluding to the effects of chemo.

On Mother's Day, however, she appeared to have announced she would be stopping chemo altogether.

While delivering a Mother’s Day speech at the Source Church in Bradenton, Florida, Chapman began candidly discussing her disease with churchgoers, the Pooch Times reported.

First she admitted that her diagnosis has been the "ultimate test of faith."

But she refused to place blame on anyone, particularly on God.

"I don’t go to God and go, ‘Why did I get cancer?’”

“He’ll roll his eyes at me again," she continued.

"Because I know why; because this is the ultimate test of faith.”

She added, “It is the evidence of things hoped for and it is the substance of things not known.”

Following this, Chapman went on to discuss chemotherapy treatments, and her apparent rejection of them.

“Chemotherapy is not my bag, people,” she said. “Sorry, that’s not for me. So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson.”

Chapman was very pragmatic about her situation.

She then went on to share, “It will either be taught to me or to you, and I am fine with taking the hit for everyone else."

Chapman spent her Mother's Day with her family and shared the events with her Instagram followers.

She posted a photo of herself and her son on the social media site and said he had her "laughing all weekend."

Chapman's daughter, Cecily, shared a sweet message to her mother on Instagram in which she wrote, "Nothing in this world will ever keep you away from me."
