'Dog The Bounty Hunter' star Beth Chapman Rejects Chemotherapy In Favor Of Faith

In 2017, the 51-year-old was first diagnosed with Stage Two throat cancer. After undergoing surgery, she declared herself to be fine and cancer-free.

She had been rushed to the hospital to clear a blockage in her throat that prevented her from breathing.

Afterwards, Chapman posted a photo to Instagram of her and husband Dog sharing her hospital bed, along with the caption, "Another Bend in the Road yet not the End of the Road."

Many fans offered their prayers and support for the Chapman family during this time. There were also messages of hope, including one that said, "You shall emerge victorious."

Chapman was subsequently diagnosed with Stage Four lung cancer.

She posted a photo to Instagram of this time in which she included the hashtags "#cancersucks" and "#itsonlyhair", seemingly alluding to the effects of chemo.

While delivering a Mother’s Day speech at the Source Church in Bradenton, Florida, Chapman began candidly discussing her disease with churchgoers, the Pooch Times reported.

But she refused to place blame on anyone, particularly on God.

"I don’t go to God and go, ‘Why did I get cancer?’”

"Because I know why; because this is the ultimate test of faith.”

She added, “It is the evidence of things hoped for and it is the substance of things not known.”

“Chemotherapy is not my bag, people,” she said. “Sorry, that’s not for me. So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson.”

She then went on to share, “It will either be taught to me or to you, and I am fine with taking the hit for everyone else."

She posted a photo of herself and her son on the social media site and said he had her "laughing all weekend."

Chapman's daughter, Cecily, shared a sweet message to her mother on Instagram in which she wrote, "Nothing in this world will ever keep you away from me."
