I don’t know about you, but I just love looking at great designs and ideas . It’s amazing what we can come up with when we put our minds to it.
This list is full of some pretty ingenious stuff that are totally inspiring me to get creative. Who knows, maybe they’ll end up doing the same for you. Either way, you’ll probably find them pretty clever.
“This sign in the ice cream section at my local supermarket!”

This is honestly something people should be doing in general, but if you’re anything like me, you probably forget to do it a lot. Good thing some people out there put cool signs like this one up as reminders.
“These upside-down charger sockets on a train table that prevent cable damage!”

I think what would be better in general is if charging plugs were designed to have the cable sticking upward, but this plug design is definitely a step in the right direction.
“CVS has magnifying glasses throughout the medicine aisle so you can read what the medicine packaging says.”

Considering the fact that a lot of people out there need glasses, this should be on every shelf in every store. That way, if you forgot your reading glasses, you won’t have to struggle to read labels.
“The Prudential Center in Boston has cards to remind you which floor you parked on.”

How is this not a thing in every parking garage!? I’m honestly so sick of forgetting where I’ve parked, and something like this would make it soooo much easier.
“Netflix finally figured it out.”

The first time I saw this I almost cried. Having Netflix on in the background while doing work, or just having a lazy day watching whatever trendy reality show they have going on, is a lot less annoying when the app isn’t asking you if you’re still watching after, like, three episodes.
“A sticker that lets you see if your package was kept upright.”

Now that’s pretty genius. I’ve had plenty of packages delivered to me completely upside down, even when they weren’t supposed to be like that. At least this would show you if your delivery person actually cares.
“Instead of listing games on sale for 34.99$ like most stores would. GameStop lists them for 35.01$ so they are eligible for free shipping.”

I, for one, hate it when something’s on sale, but juuuust doesn’t qualify for free shipping, so then you have to order something else or pay shipping costs. This is really well thought out on GameStop’s end.
“Heated dog parking while shopping.”

I especially love the fact that it’s heated. If you can’t bring your dog in a store with you while it’s cold, you probably wouldn’t want to leave them in a spot where they’d be freezing for however long it takes you to shop.
“I found an egg vending machine.”

I absolutely love vending machines with random, unconventional things in them. This one is definitely one of the weirder ones I’ve seen, and yet I want to use it so bad.
“IKEA has free diaper dispensers in bathrooms.”

This should be a thing anywhere. In every bathroom too, and not just the women’s bathroom. You never know when you might need to change a diaper (if you’re a parent).
“Welcome package from the local power company: LED bulbs, power strip, shower head, night lights, aerator and filter monitor and crayons!”

The only thing I’ve ever received from the power company is bills. It would be really cool if they all did something like this, so that they can make sure you’re being as energy efficient as possible.
“DeviantArt can detect when your artwork is being used as an NFT.”

I know very little about NFTs, but I do know that there’s a lot of stolen art being sold. It’s nice to know that places like DeviantArt are figuring out how to find whose art is getting stolen.
“This stoplight is specially made for left hand turns that can only be U-turns.”

I swear, it feels like most places won’t let you make U-turns. But this street has the right idea. Just put up a light that shows people when it’s okay to turn around.
“This sign for dogs at my local outdoor shopping centre.”

I love the fact that this sign is talking to the dog, even though dogs can’t read. This little detail makes it so friendly, and I’m sure it’ll help people follow the rules with their pups.
“My ramen came with a hinge-foldable fork.”

This is such a cool way to save on space! At the end of the day, it’s still a fork. But it’s like, a cool fork, and that makes so much more of a difference.
“Can confirm, licked one and it tasted like Alum. 0/10 would not recommend.”

I love the fact that these batteries did everything they could to keep kids from putting them in their mouths. And you just know that no kid is gonna want to try eating a bitter-tasting battery.
“Good guy Google.”

Man, Google and Gmail are so smart. Forgetting to actually email an attachment is so embarrassing, but at least Gmail knows how to stop you from doing that to yourself.
“This Benjamin Franklin mug I just got with a slot to make the end of your tea bag the kite.”

This is so incredibly clever, I almost can’t believe I’ve never seen a mug like this before. It would make me want to drink nothing but tea for the rest of my life, if I had one of my own.
“This supermarket I went to has a plastic box around the scale at the self checkout so your shopping doesn’t fall off it.”

If only every store’s self checkout had something like this. It would’ve saved me a lot of embarrassment over the years. Sigh …
“A flower vending machine in Copenhagen, Denmark.”

This isn’t even just flowers — it’s, like, entire floral arrangements. What a cool idea, and a neat use of vending machines!
