8+ Times Ryan Reynolds Proved He Was Too Good For Us

Ryan Reynolds is one of the most universally beloved celebrities on the planet. The star of Deadpool has earned himself a reputation as a lovable jokester.

He's been a light during these dark and uncertain times and if I may quote Mike Myers in Wayne's World, we're simply "not worthy."

Since we all love watching what he does, let's all dive into some of his best moments.

Ryan Reynolds is a diamond in the Hollywood rough.

Whether he's pulling off the most epic party known to man in Van Wilder or saving the world as Deadpool, Ryan has always delivered solid comedic performances.

He's an absolute gem.

The Canadian-born star of *Deadpool* has become known for his hilarious hi-jinks both on and off the set.

And we absolutely love him for it! Ryan has never been one to take himself too seriously.

Watching his career take off has been a privilege and a pleasure.

Just in case you needed a little reminder, here are 10+ times Ryan Reynolds proved that he's too good for us.

Disappearing CGI mustaches are just the beginning!

Get ready for an onslaught of hilarity with a heavy helping of "aww!"

1. His hilarious tweets about his daughter are 100% fake.

Believe it or not, Ryan didn't drop his infant daughter off at Burning Man.

This tweet is just one of many hilarious (and totally fake) parenting moments the actor posts on the regular.

2. Ryan has also been known to hand out great dating tips and advice to fans.

Ryan received a tweet from a fan explaining how she and her boyfriend had broken up. She'd replaced all of their prom pictures with superimposed images of Ryan.

The Deadpool star suggests she go one step further and photoshop him onto her ex's yearbook photo.

3. His endearing bromances. Let's look at his pal Jake Gyllenhaal to start us off.

“Jake is easily the most interesting actor working in Hollywood today. Definitely one of my favorites, and then at the same time one of the kindest guys I’ve ever met,” the actor said when speaking to Good Morning America.

Ryan also has developed a bit of a friendly rivalry with fellow Marvel star Tom Holland.

Remember when Tom challenged Ryan to put on a t-shirt while doing a handstand?

Can you imagine a Deadpool and Spider-Man crossover?! I think we're all waiting impatiently for that to happen.

Finally, and most importantly, Ryan's ongoing "feud" with best buddy Hugh Jackman.

This is maybe the greatest feud in the history of entertainment. The only other one I can even think of that even comes close is Jimmy Kimmel and Matt Damon's.

The dedication these two have shown over the years is legendary.

4. Ryan saves lives! Literally.

"Years ago, I took a CPR course thru the Red Cross. And holy [expletive], I ended up saving my nephew's life because I knew what to do! True story!"

Who wouldn't want to have Ryan Reynolds give you mouth-to-mouth?

5. He is completely and totally in love with his wife, Blake Lively.

While that may seem obvious since they're married, it's still refreshing to see.

It's adorable how much Ryan is clearly enamored by Blake Lively: “She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy."

6. He gives the best acceptance speeches.

While accepting his 2016 MTV Movie Award for his work on Deadpool, Ryan had some very choice words for his wife, Blake Lively.

“Everything I do is to make her laugh, especially the sex.”

7. Ryan knows how to laugh at himself.

The premise of Playground Insults is pretty self-explanatory. Two people engage in a battle of playground-style insults and the first person to laugh loses.

Watching Ryan and fellow Deadpool 2 co-star Josh Brolin going head-to-head is unforgettable.

8. He's sexy and he knows it.

In the interview for People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive', Ryan spoke about his guilty pleasure: Lucky Charms cereal!

"When I was a kid, I used to extract all the marshmallows from one box and put them in the new box so I’d double the marshmallows."

9. He's an animal lover at heart.

"Visiting with Chris and his @animal_embassy rescue sanctuary continues to be an incredible experience. We saw tree frogs, a baby python, chinchillas, an eagle owl and he even brought out a real live John Krasinski, who I got to feed from my hand," Ryan posted via Instagram.

10. His unrelenting dedication to making friends, family, and fans smile during the COVID-19 quarantine.

Ryan has been heavily involved in raising funds to help those directly affected by COVID-19.

His generosity and philanthropy are an inspiration to us all.

11. When he revealed to his fans that he couldn't wait to see his family again.

"When I wrapped Deadpool five weeks ago, within an hour — I'm not joking, I still had chunks of glue from the scar makeup on my face — I was boarding a plane to Bangkok so I could get to my wife and baby right away."

12. When he was relatable and talked about his resting unhappy face.

"[T]hat's a problem I've had all my life," he admitted to Entertainment Weekly. "If I'm not aware a photo is being taken, my natural resting face is one of a man dying."

"I had no idea somebody was taking a photo."

"Therefore I was resting comfortably in my persona of a man whose soul is visibly exiting this earth."

If that isn't the biggest mood ever, I really don't know what is.

13. The time he was relatable to parents everywhere.

While I myself don't know much about children, I do know that they are a handful.

I also know what it's like to sit next to a screaming baby on a plane. It's not fun for anyone.

14. When he and Hugh Jackman called a temporary truce to fight the pandemic and raise money for food.

"Hugh and I have a temporary cease-fire on our feud for the @allinchallenge." he wrote in his post.

He and Hugh both made the video way too hilarious for coherent words.

15. When he flat out refused to do Tom Holland's handstand challenge because what's a work out?

Realistically, Reynolds could probably do what Holland asked him. He's gone through enough gym training for it.

But his response was relatable and hilarious and made the news everywhere.

16. When we couldn't really relate at all, but we were still dying of laughter anyhow.

Because really, at the end of the day, that's all that Ryan Reynolds wants to do for his fans.

He wants to keep us entertained. And man, is he good at it.
