Cardi B is not afraid to tell the truth.
The superstar rapper is famous for speaking her mind, so it’s no surprise that she kept it 100 when discussing Offset’s infidelity.
All of this started in 2018.
Apparently, Offset’s iCloud was allegedly hacked. Photos and videos of him cheating on Cardi with another woman surfaced online.
They basically chose to ignore the rumors, and Cardi stuck with Offset.
Back then, she said their relationship was no one’s business.
“I want to work out my [expletive] with my man, and I don’t got to explain why,” she told Cosmopolitan . “I’m not your property. This is my life … I’m going to take my time, and I’m going to decide on my decision.”
She seemingly confirmed he cheated.
“It’s not right, what he [expletive] did — but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.”
That was in February 2018. In April, she announced she was pregnant with his child.
Then, it was revealed that they’d secretly married.

And not recently — they’d been married since September 2017, way before Cardi got pregnant.
She gave birth to their daughter, Kulture, in July 2018. More cheating rumors continued to surround them through the rest of the year.
She eventually left him.

Cardi actually announced a full-on divorce on Instagram in 2018. In the video (which, in true Cardi fashion, was later deleted), she said that she and Offset “grew out of love.”
Offset then kicked off a massive campaign to get her back.

Tweets, Instagram posts, and more started coming in. Then, he ambushed Cardi at a musical festival she was doing.
He brought in flowers that spelled out “Take me back, Cardi,” while she was performing on stage.
They eventually got back together.
Cardi said they were “taking it slow,” which apparently seemed to work.
She sat down with Vogue as part of their 2020 issue on mothers, and she didn’t hold back on explaining what happened between them.”
She reiterated that he cheated to Vogue.
“When me and my husband got into our issues — you know, he cheated and everything — and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me.”
Social media put a lot of pressure on her.
“But it’s real-life shit. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you’re depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you’re not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation.”
Marriage is different for each couple.
“Then, if you get back with them, it’s like, how could you? You let all of us down. People that be in marriages for years, when they say till death do us part, they not talking about little arguments like if you leave the fridge open.”
Social media seriously messed her perception of relationships up.

“My thing is, everybody on social media acts like relationships is perfect.”
If there’s one thing we can take away from this interview, it’s that social media messes up celebrities the same way it messes up so many of us.
She continued:

“And that’s crazy to me. I’m around so many women, and there’s always a woman talking about how she loves her man, but her man is not financially stable, or she has a problem with his mom, or the sex is not as good anymore.”
They turned to faith.

“Everybody has issues. I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us.”
I thought she was serious, but she was super serious — they really did have priests come to them.
They’re a team.

“And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it’s really us against the world. He has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, you’re betraying the person that has your back the most.”
But she has a message if it happens again:
“Why would you do that? We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way. I’ll beat your ass if you cheat on me.”
I 100% believe that she would.
