Rihanna flaunted major talent – and a little something extra – at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show.
The 34-year-old R&B superstar put on an amazing performance last Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, singing her biggest hits like B***h Better Have My Money, Umbrella, Diamonds, and others. But it was her baby bump that almost stole the show.
Although RiRi didn’t make a verbal announcement, she revealed her pregnancy when she took the stage in a red outfit --- her bump clearly visible under it.
A rep for the Barbadian singer and beauty mogul later confirmed the news that she is expecting her second baby with partner, A$AP Rocky.
Rihanna now holds the distinction of being the first pregnant woman to headline the Super Bowl halftime show.
A source told ET, “She knows it was a performance to remember and that is what she wanted. She loves that the performance also acted as such an exciting announcement for her and her family.”
The insider added, “Rihanna wanted to display a message of empowerment and to show that you can balance it all and make your dreams come true.”
The Fenty Beauty founder gave a dynamic show with a 12-song setlist, including B***h Better Have My Money, Where Have You Been, Only Girl in the World, We Found Love, Rude Boy, Work, Wild Thoughts, Pour It Up, All of the Lights, Run This Town, Umbrella, and Diamonds.
The performance saw her singing and dancing on a platform suspended high above the stadium, and the source said the star was happy and satisfied with how the show went.
The pregnancy reveal may have surprised fans but another insider told the outlet that Rihanna and Rocky “have always wanted to grow their family.”
She “adores being a mom and it’s her biggest accomplishment in life,” the source said. “They have been talking about expanding their family for quite some time. Being a mom is a dream come true for Rihanna and she takes so much pride in it.”
The Ocean’s 8 actress also surprised fans back in January 2022 when she stepped out in New York City with a baby bump. She and Rocky welcomed their son in May that year.
