They famously dated ten years ago before it was revealed that Brown had assaulted her in 2009, leaving her "spitting blood," which caused their relationship to fall apart.
A felony assault charge was accepted after he admitted to beating Rihanna before her scheduled appearance at the Grammy Awards that year.
But despite their history, Brown has frequently displayed public love and support for Rihanna, who gave the crowd a show on Sunday night in Arizona.
The 33-year-old singer wrote "Go girl" and emojis for prayer and a red heart in a story he shared on social media. Fans who paid close attention quickly realized that he might have been alluding to Rihanna's stunning red ensemble using the red emoji.
The rapper described how events worsened after he came clean about his sexual history with a woman who had once worked for him in his 2017 documentary Chris Brown: Welcome To My Life.
Chris claimed that the Barbadian singer, 34, was shocked by the confession because he had previously told her that they had never been romantically involved, which led to a violent breakdown in their relationship.
The singer however regretted his actions and has since tendered an apology to the Diamond singer.
'I felt like a f**king monster,' he said in the clip.
This isn't the first time the Go girl singer had supported his ex publicly as he did in 2022 when she and Asap Rocky welcomed their first child together.
As well as over the years, he takes time to celebrate her birthdays.
Now, Rihanna and Asap Rocky are in a relationship and are expecting another baby.
