Lisa Marie Presley's daughter, Riley Keough, and husband, Ben Smith-Petersen have welcomed a baby girl. The shocking news was revealed during Lisa Marie's memorial service on Sunday. A representative for Keough also confirmed the news.

Keough And Smith-Petersen Secretly Welcomed First Child

The revelation of the couple's daughter was done by Smith-Petersen. He read a letter from Keough to her late mom during Lisa Marie's memorial service at Graceland. In the letter, Keough thanked Lisa Marie for showing her love was all that matters. "I hope I can love my daughter the way you loved me," the letter read.

As Page Six reports, the letter continued with gratitude for the love Lisa Marie showed to Keough and her siblings. The Lodge actress also thanked her late mom for giving her strength and tenacity among other things. Keough also said she and her siblings were a fruit of Lisa Marie's heart. Throughout the letter, Smith-Petersen did not mention the name of their daughter or when she was born. The couple got married in 2015.

Lisa Marie was the only child of the rock 'n' roll king Elvis Presley and his wife Priscilla Presley. She died on January 12th after having a cardiac arrest. Lisa Marie is survived by three daughters, Riley, Finley, and Harper. She also had a son, Benjamin who died by suicide when he was 27 on July 2020.

Keough was supposed to speak at the memorial and sat in the front row. However, she asked her husband to read the heartfelt letter on her behalf. In continuation of the letter, Keough recalled memories with her mom.

The Zola star remembered how loved she felt in her mom's arms. The actress first addressed her mom's passing on Instagram last week. She shared a throwback picture where she held flowers while looking at her mom. 

Many Gathered To Honor Lisa Marie

Hundreds of people gathered at the public service in Memphis on Sunday to remember and mourn Lisa Marie. Some mourners waited for the service to begin under tall trees on the lawn with flowers. The memorial service was done in Graceland where Lisa Marie lived as a child.

The property in Memphis was filled with hundreds of mourners and memories of the singer-songwriter. Prior to this gathering, Graceland has been opened to the public, albeit for recreational purposes. The mansion was turned into a tourist attraction and a museum. Thousands of fans visit Graceland every year to celebrate the life of Elvis who died in 1977. Lisa Marie died at the age of 54.

The service started with Jason Clark & The Tennessee Mass Choir singing Amazing Grace. The Presley family also wrote a message on the program for the service. They expressed their gratitude for people's support. Lisa Marie's mother, Priscilla read a poem written by her granddaughter. The poem was called "Old Soul" and was about Lisa Marie's life.
