All eyes are on the Royal family as they bid a final farewell to the longest-reigning monarch in British history, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The world was devastated at the news of her death earlier this month on September 8th and now, after 11 days of mourning, HM is taking her final trip to Windsor Castle as millions of fans watch from around the world.

As all eyes are on the family, many have noticed the significant piece of jewelry Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, was wearing to say goodbye to the Queen.

All eyes have been on the members of the Royal family in the days leading up to Her Majesty's funeral on Monday, September 19.

There has been much controversy surrounding what members of the Royal family would wear as they said farewell to their beloved monarch.

While many decisions were up in the air, it was almost certain that Kate Middleton would wear something meaningful and significant, as she always does.

After getting a first look at the newly appointed Princess of Wales, fans of the Royal family immediately noticed Kate's stunning necklace.

The four-row pearl choker with a diamond clasp once belonged to not only the late Queen but Kate's late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Eagle-eyed fans may also realize that this is the name necklace the Princess wore to Prince Philip's funeral last year.

As fans of the royal family may know, the stunning choker was originally gifted to the Queen from Japan in the 1970s.

After receiving the necklace, she was often photographed with it, most notably on a state visit to Bangladesh in 1983.

The necklace was later worn by the late Princess Diana, who borrowed the stunning piece for several public appearances during her time as the Princess of Wales.

This included a state visit to the Netherlands in the 80s, as per Yahoo.

Clearly, it was a beloved piece by the women in the family, and for good reason — it's stunning!

In addition to the necklace, Kate was also spotted wearing a wide-brimmed black hat with a netted veil.

“It is traditional for veils to be worn at the funeral of a monarch,” says royal fashion expert and author, Bethan Holt, as per Yahoo.

Fans immediately took to social media to point out the thoughtful accessory.

The Princess of Wales has always made meaningful and significant statements with her outfits, so naturally, this historic and emotional moment was no exception.
