Actress and Director Olivia Wilde recently opened up about her experiences as a celebrity mom and what it's like living under the constant scrutiny that comes with being a public figure and a parent.

A disturbing fact she noticed calls to a gross double standard that not only female celebrities, but mothers everywhere experience that fathers, famous or not, don't seem to.

Olivia Wilde is calling out a major celebrity double-standard.

During a recent feature with Variety, Wilde spoke about her relationship with her two children, Daisy and Otis, who are five years old and eight years old respectively.

She noticed how, whenever she was spotted without them, people were quick to call her a bad mom.

"When people see me not with my kids, it's always 'How dare she.'"

"I've never seen anyone say that about a guy," she remarked, "And if he is with his kid, he's a [expletive] hero."

She has joint custody of her two children with her ex, Jason Sudeikis.

The truth is, she's incredibly devoted to her kids.

She's recently been taking time off from work in order to spend more time with them.

"It became clear to me that this year was a time for me to be a stay-at-home mom," she said. "It was not the year for me to be on a set, which is totally all-encompassing."

"They are my world. They are my best friends."

Her devotion to her kids is nothing but inspiring, and the way she shuts down anyone who thinks she doesn't care for them is even more so.

She's an exemplary celebrity mom standing up for herself in the face of endless online critics, bravo!
