Sylvester Stallone's Wife Jennifer Flavin Files For Divorce After 25 Years
Stallone and Flavin have been married since 1997.
The two began dating in 1988, although they briefly broke up in 1994 after Stallone admitted to an affair with model Janice Dickinson and infamously broke up with Flavin through a FedExed letter.
The couple would reconcile in 1995 and marry two years later. They share three daughters together, Scarlet, Sistine, and Sophia.
Rumors of a split began to circulate when Stallone covered up a tattoo of Jennifer with an image of a dog.
While fans began speculating that the coverup meant that the marriage was on the rocks, Stallone's publicist released a statement on the matter.
"Mr. Stallone intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer however the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable," the statement read.
"As a result, he had to cover the original image with a tattoo of his dog from Rocky, Butkus."
"Mr. Stallone loves his family. The Stallones are presently filming a reality show together which will debut on Paramount+," the statement concluded.
Fans also speculated that there was trouble for the couple following an Instagram post by Jennifer. "These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever," she captioned the shot, which had many wondering why Stallone wasn't included in the photo or the accompanying message.
The speculation appears to have been correct.
"Upon information and belief, the Husband has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate," read the divorce documents obtained by TMZ.
"Equity dictates that the Wife be compensated and made whole by receiving an unequal distribution of the marital assets in her favor."
"Moreover, the Husband should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings."
Stallone and Flavin have not made public statements at time of writing.
