Celebrities aren't better than the average person. They just tend to look better and have more money than the average person.

So yeah, they're not better than the average person. There are just plenty of reasons why one might be envious of the lives they lead.

This advice might not get you a leading role in the next Avengers movie, nor will it shower you with riches. But it might be enough to keep you forever young.

Kelly Ripa

She seems like she's 30 or so, but talk show host Kelly Ripa is actually 51. She says it's good to keep active, and she does this through one of her passions: dancing. She says her workouts mostly revolve around dance.

Thandiwe Newton

Newton is stunning at the age of 49, and says that part of her routine involves staying away from a common vice: coffee. She says that as she ages, hydration is more and more important, and coffee just "sucks the moisture" from her skin.

Tracee Ellis Ross

Ross will turn 50 this year, and hasn't aged noticeably in the past few years. She says she stays away from makeup, and owes at least some of her youthful appearance to something that costs less than $20: a simple facial roller to stimulate her facial muscles.

Kerry Washington

For 45-year-old Kerry Washington, appearance comes down to one simple thing: skincare. She says that moisturizers that "do double duty" are helpful, recommending products that not only moisturize, but also contain hyaluronic acid in their list of ingredients.

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett is still stunning and maintains her youthful glow well into her 50s. Her secret? Getting rid of stress by any means necessary. The Aussie actress says that "anything" you can do to get rid of stress, including getting regular massages, can help.

Cindy Crawford

Forget the usual stuff like following a healthy diet and working out: while Cindy Crawford does all of this stuff (and drinks plenty of water), she says that vitamin injections, botox, and collagen have done a lot to keep her looking youthful.

Christie Brinkley

If your skin is looking old, that might be because it is. If you exfoliate regularly, that old, tired skin gets replaced with new, fresh skin. That's the basis of Christie Brinkley's routine, with the 68-year-old supermodel saying she exfoliates her face to start off every day.

Gwyneth Paltrow

We know, we know: Gwyneth Paltrow has a lot of bad health advice. But she is quite young looking, and we can take at least a few pointers from her. One thing she does is use lots of sunscreen to protect her fair complexion, and tries to use sunscreens that aren't full of chemicals.

Gabrielle Union

We're often told that we should drink more water, and the 48-year-old takes this to heart, saying she tries to drink a gallon every day, along with 32 ounces at breakfast. She says it's the biggest thing she can do to keep her hair, skin, and nails looking good.

Angela Bassett

The 63-year-old calls 60 the new 40. She uses a range of beauty products to keep her skin looking young, and adheres to a strict diet that alternates between no fat on some days, and lots of (healthy) fat on other days.

Penélope Cruz

Cruz, who's a relative spring chicken on this list at 48 years old, gives some secrets on her diet: avoiding gluten, drinking plenty of water, eating whole wheat, avocados, olive oil, nuts and fruit. For her workouts, she usually opts for hot yoga over a conventional gym workout.

Jennifer Lopez

Lopez says she doesn't feel older than 20, and most would agree she looks a lot closer to 20 than she does to her true age of 53. She says she meditates and works out regularly. Lopez also advocates for the 5 S's of skincare: sleep, sunscreen, serums, supplements, and sanity.

Jennifer Garner

As we've seen, a big part of appearing younger is taking good care of your skin. The 50-year-old Garner takes this to heart, using retinol to keep her skin looking youthful. Add in regular cardio workouts and a healthy diet and it helps explain why she looks so young.

Sofia Vergara

The 50-year-old bombshell owes her appearance to working out, even though she hates doing it. She says she mixes up her exercise by taking part in water sports and dancing. While she eats an impressive five meals a day, she never eats red meat.

Julianne Moore

If you thought that Julianne Moore was in her 40s, think again: she's actually 61. As a redhead, she's prone to sunburns, which explains why she puts sunscreen on her face every day and stays in the shade. One unique thing she's a big fan of is microneedling, which can help the body produce collagen.

Jennifer Aniston

It's been more than two decades since the final episode of Friends, and Aniston appears to have aged maaaybe five years during that time. She says she starts her day with celery juice and diluted apple vinegar before eating breakfast. She's also a big proponent of a fancy salad that she's been eating since her Friends days.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman, the first of three consecutive 55-year-old actresses we're about to profile, owes some of her appearance to plastic surgery. But that isn't everything: she's also a gymgoer, makes sure to eat fresh foods, meditates regularly, and takes vitamins.

Halle Berry

Part of Halle Berry's youthful appearance comes from an obvious place: she works out a ton. As for the stuff she does behind the scenes, it mostly has to do with collagen masks on her face and eating healthy stuff like bone broth.

Salma Hayek

Hayek was a major star starting in the '90s, but then a curious thing happened: even though time kept ticking forwards, Salma Hayek looked the same. The 55-year-old says she drinks a cocktail daily that includes oranges, turmeric, black pepper, and sea buckthorn. Oh, and washing your face with just water is a must.

Vera Wang

Vera Wang is, incredibly, 73 years old. She looks like she might be a little more than half that. She doesn't have any specific advice, attributing her youthful looks to a sporty upbringing and getting plenty of sleep.
