Two A-list movie stars participated in quite the fundraiser earlier this month. Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans raffled off the opportunity to be their personal guest at an upcoming movie premiere, with every dollar raised going to charity.
And wow, the amount raised was astonishing! It's a huge accomplishment for the two stars, something they can feel good about while also celebrating their new movie!
The two partnered with Omaze, a company that hosts charity events, and held an auction-style fundraiser in support of Christopher's Haven, a cancer patient housing charity based in Boston.
Up for grabs was a red-carpet movie premiere date with both Evans and Gosling for their film The Gray Man. The winner would be flown out to attend the screening and get hang out with the movie's stars all the while.
The two raised $276,444 for Christopher's Haven, an absolutely stellar amount that will help loads of people.
Christopher's Haven offers low-cost temporary housing for young cancer patients and their families while they're receiving treatment at Boston hospitals, and has helped over 450 families since 2006.
The amount raised will be an incredible help, and just proves how many people are willing to pay for the chance at a night out with Evans and Gosling. Here's hoping the winner has a great time!
