Congratulations are in order for Valerie Bertinelli's son Wolfgang Van Halen (who she shares with her late ex-husband Eddie Van Halen) after it was announced the musician is engaged!

The 31-year-old made the exciting announcement on social media this week, and I'm sure Valerie is happy to welcome this joyful news amidst all the sadness she and her family had had to endure since late 2020.

On October 6, 2020, it was announced that rock star and dad Eddie Van Halen had passed away.

Eddie, a founding member and songwriter for the legendary band Van Halen, died at the age of 65 from complications due to cancer.

Eddie's son, Wolfgang Van Halen, confirmed the news on his Twitter, writing, "My heart is broken and I don't think I'll ever fully recover from this loss."

Hearts broke as his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli and Wolfgang publically mourned the rocker, who Valerie referred to as "my love"

"Through all your challenging treatments for lung cancer, you kept your gorgeous spirit and impish grin," Valerie shared alongside a photograph of herself, Eddie, and an infant Wolfgang.

"I'm so grateful Wolfie and I were able to hold you in your last moments," Valerie shared.

"I will see you in the next life, my love."

Less than a year after Eddie's passing, it was reported that Valerie and her husband Tom Vitale were divorcing after 10 years of marriage.

In the months following the news, Valerie has been candid with fans on social media about what a difficult time it's been.

"I’m just having a bad day," Valerie admitted to a fan in a TikTok back in May. "But you know what, sometimes we have bad days and then we get over them and then there’s a good day."

Well, Valerie's positive spirit and hope for the future has paid off, because her son Wolfgang is engaged to his girlfriend, Andraia Allsop!

Sharing a selfie with his bride-to-be, the 31-year-old captioned the post with a classic "she said yes!"

What wonderful news! Wishing these love birds all the best!
