Anne Hathaway Shares Pro-Choice Stance In ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Post

Just over 16 years ago, The Devil Wears Prada debuted in theaters, and would go on to become an iconic film from the generation that tons of people still love today. One of the film's stars, Anne Hathaway, made a post to celebrate the anniversary.

In that same post, she shared her thoughts on the overturn of Roe v. Wade and solidified her stance on the matter.

The actress spoke out in an Instagram post that also celebrated the 16th anniversary of the film The Devil Wears Prada, in which she starred. It's an amazing movie that still holds up today, not to mention one of Hathaway's most iconic roles.

Hathaway wanted to highlight her favorite outfits from the film to coincide with her spotlight on Interview magazine.

"Happy Anniversary to #TheDevilWearsPrada, with special love to the amazing [Patricia Field]," the caption writes, shouting out the movie's costume designer, "She put us in the most incredible, iconic and joyful costumes which somehow keep serving 16 years later. That’s magic."

It's here where the post gets a bit more serious.

Hathaway continues, "Looking back on photos of this beloved film that shaped the lives and careers of so many—mine included—I am struck by the fact that the young female characters in this movie built their lives and careers in a country that honored their right to have choice over their own reproductive health."

She signs off with a call to arms.

"See you in the fight xx."

People loved the stance she took, her comments filled with praise and celebration for both the movie and her caption. Seeing people with such status stand up for what's right can be truly inspiring, and hopefully encourage others to do the same!
