Back in November, Chris Pratt came under fire after a post dedicated to his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, gained a lot of negative attention. What started as a seemingly innocent Instagram post turned into a controversy that tied in Chris' son with his ex-wife, Anna Faris.

Now, nearly 8 months later, Chris is ready to address the scandal and defend his post.

As you may recall, "Parks and Recreation" actor Chris Pratt was married to fellow actress Anna Faris from 2009 to 2018.

Fans were in disbelief when this funny pair called it quits after nearly a decade of marriage and one son, Jack Pratt.

Jack was born premature and had to undergo several operations as a result.

At birth, Jack weighed just 3 pounds, 12 ounces.

Today, Jack is nine and healthy, however, he currently has visual impairments as well as a non-life-threatening heart problem.

In August of 2020, Chris and his second wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, welcomed daughter Lyla Maria Pratt in August 2020.

"We couldn’t be happier," the pair shared at the time. "Both mom and baby are doing great. We are extremely blessed."

In November of 2021, Chris took to his social media (for seemingly no reason) to praise his wife Katherine and their "healthy" daughter.

"Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!?" he began. "We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love!"

"She helps me with everything," he gushed. "In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles."

"That’s the trade. Her heart is pure and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card. Which if you know, you know is saying a lot."

"It’s her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on this post. Love you honey," he concluded.

While some followers thought the post was sweet, a lot of others had big issues with it, mainly Chris' callout to their "healthy" daughter.

At the time, Chris never formally addressed the accusations.

Nearly 8 months later, the actor is ready to speak about the now infamous post in a new interview with Men's Health.

"I said something like, ‘Find someone who looks at you the way my wife looks at me,'" he recalled.

"And then I gave her some [expletive] in the thing and said, 'But I love you. I'm so thankful for my wife—she gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter.'"

"And then a bunch of articles came out and said, ‘That's so cringeworthy. I can't believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born premature. That's such a dig at his ex-wife.'"

"And I'm like, 'That is [expletive] up,'" Chris explained. "My son's gonna read that one day. He's nine. And it's etched in digital stone."

He went on to say that the backlash made him cry, and that felt the whole thing "really [expletive] bothered me, dude."

"I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are — to the people close to me — a real burden," he added.

Since this controversy, Chris and Katherine have welcomed another daughter, Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt.

We hope Anna and Jack are doing okay!
