Blink-182's Mark Hoppus is "glad to be here" seven months after officially being declared cancer-free.

The 50-year-old bassist was spotted out on the town with his wife in West Hollywood after a year-long battle with lymphoma cancer. In a brief interview with a TMZ reporter, Hoppus seemed in good spirits and looking forward to the future.

In case you missed it, Blink-182's bassist and co-lead vocalist, Mark Hoppus, is cancer-free.

His battle with lymphoma cancer began in April 2021. He was diagnosed with stage four diffuse large B-cell lymphoma — one of the more common subtypes of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

In June he announced his diagnosis on social media, sharing that he was "scared."

"It sucks and I'm scared, and at the same time I'm blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this," the 50-year-old musician tweeted at the time.

In July he took to a Twitch live stream with optimism, revealing his plans of, "beating this cancer."

And thankfully, that is exactly what ended up happening, because in September, Hoppus happily announced that he was in remission and would soon be officially cancer-free.

"Just saw my oncologist and I'm cancer-free!" he penned.

"Thank you, God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love," he added before revealing that in the subsequent months, he would need to be regularly scanned and continue receiving treatment.

Over Easter weekend, Hoppus and his wife were spotted out on the town in West Hollywood by a TMZ reporter.

In the very brief interview, he seemed grateful to be in better health and enthusiastic about his future in music, as well as simply spending less time cooped up inside his living room

"Life's great. I'm glad to be here," he told TMZ.

"Just getting back out into it," he added after the reporter pointed out that he hasn't made a public appearance in quite some time.

Most of all, Hoppus is excited and jovial about getting right back into making music again.

"I most wanted to get back into the studio and get back to playing music, and get off of my couch," he said.

In January, Hoppus revealed on social media that he was finally inspired to write music again.

"Just want to say that I'm very grateful to be back in the mindset of 'Oh! That's a cool idea for a song lyric, I should write that down.' I haven't felt that in eight months," he wrote.

"Hopefully soon," he said when asked if he will be releasing new music any time soon. "We'll see if I can write something happy this time," he joked.

If he can pass on any words of wisdom after his triumph over cancer, it's to "enjoy every day."

Before parting ways, the reporter asked Hoppus for his thoughts on Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's relationship.

"Do you think Kourtney is the one for Travis?" the reporter asked, to which Hoppus replied, "Yes, I do."

Hoppus' wife also weighed in. "I think I'm the one for Travis," she quipped, laughing.
