Mighty Ducks actor, Shaun Weiss, celebrated two years of sobriety in January 2022. The 43-year-old was arrested back in January 2020, facing burglary and methamphetamine-related charges, but has since completed a 12-step program to sobriety and rewarded himself with a new set of pearly whites!
Marking two years of sobriety, Weiss shared a photo on Instagram commemorating his recovery from addiction, and now he's giving fans a two-month update on his journey.
His decision to become sober came after he was arrested in January 2020, facing burglary and methamphetamine-related charges. It was then reported last July, that he had completed a court-ordered drug program.
Weiss took to Instagram in January to share a photo with his more than 9000 Instagram followers, commemorating his recovery from addiction thus far.
In an additional post, Weiss thanked his fans for their love and support with a photo of two socks that read "sober AF" and "two years" on the bottom.
Now, two months later, Weiss is updating fans on his recovery by showing off his brand new smile and the dentist who made it happen.
"I feel like a new person. Thank you, Dr. Gabe!" he captioned the photo, to which his dentist later replied in the comments: “You look even more handsome in person! So happy for you my brother.”
"It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life… and I’m feeling GOOD! Congratulations @shaunweiss. Smile as much as possible," he wrote.
"You are a beautiful man! So grateful you have your life back again," one Instagram user commented, while another added, "You are doing amazing!"
"You look amazing! Congrats! So great to see you doing well," another person commented. "Things will only keep getting better, and better! Very happy for you."
