As you may have heard, former Amanda Show actress Amanda Bynes had her conservatorship officially dissolved earlier this week. The former actress had been under a court-ordered conservatorship for nearly 10 years.

Now, the 35-year-old is breaking her silence following the exciting news and sharing her message of gratitude for the fans who have been by her side during this difficult time.

Last month, news broke that "What A Girl Wants" star Amanda Bynes had filed to end her conservatorship after nine years.

As fans will recall, Amanda was placed under the conservatorship back in 2013 following a series of concerning events and an ongoing battle with her mental health.

Amanda's decision to file comes as a surprise to many as a judge signed off in September to keep the conservatorship in place until at least March 2023.

However, as the public has seen with Britney Spears, conservatorships with no end in sight can be detrimental.

Exciting news came on Tuesday, March 22 when Judge Roger L. Lund terminated Amanda’s conservatorship:

“The conservatorship is no longer needed or required. She has done everything the court has asked," Judge Lund said in a statement.

Now, Amanda is speaking out for the first time following the exciting news.

In a statement to People, the actress said: “Following today's decision by the judge to terminate my conservatorship, I would like to thank my fans for their love and well-wishes during this time."

"I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years," she added.

“In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter.

"I am excited about my upcoming endeavors — including my fragrance line — and look forward to sharing more when I can."
