The BAFTAs were last night and while I like to joke about how boring award shows are these days, you bet your bottom dollar I was watching Rebel Wilson host these awards intensely. Maybe it's because I love Rebel Wilson and wanted to watch her host, or maybe it's because I'm a sucker for fashion. Or maybe, because I hoped there would be a bit of drama.

Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed in any of those categories.

If you didn't watch the BAFTAs on Sunday night, I will break down the most important parts for you right now.

1) Rebel Wilson hosted and was SO funny and looked amazing and 2) the BAFTAs didn't include Betty White during their In Memoriam segment which made many fans very upset.

Emma Watson was also there and spoiler alert — she looked absolutely incredible!

Oh, she also completely shaded controversial Harry Potter author JK Rowling while simultaneously standing with the trans community and it was amazing.

Here's what happened — Rebel introduced Emma to the stage by saying "Here to present the next award is Emma Watson. She calls herself a feminist, but we all know she’s a witch."

In response to Rebel's joke, Emma said: "I'm here for all the witches."

As fans of the "Harry Potter" franchise know, JK Rowling has come under fire in recent years for her thoughts on the trans community.

Just this past week, the author was criticized on social media for a tweet about International Women’s Day.

In 2020, the author made international headlines for using TERF language in a series of tweets.

TERF stands for Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists, a belief that excludes the rights of transgender women from feminist advocacy.

JK's transphobia was a hurtful surprise to many fans.

The "Harry Potter" books were loved by many people in the LGBTQ+ community because they celebrated those who never felt they "fit in" with the society around them.

It was a devastating blow to many fans of the series.

"Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe spoke out against the author's comments at the time.

"Transgender women are women," he wrote, as per CNN. "Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo (Rowling) or I."

Fans were loving Emma's support for the transgender community.

"I will never ever shut up about emma watson at the baftas !!" tweeted one fan.

"Emma Watson did her job as an actor she owes JK Rowling nothing. She has every right to call her out. We should all stand up to bigotry when we see it," said another.

For those who felt Emma had no right to say anything against the author because she hired her over 21 years ago, I can assure you she's allowed to make up her own mind.

"Love the [expletive] takes that surface every time Emma Watson dares to offer even mild opposition to JK Rowling’s hate," tweeted user Max Morgan.

"'If someone gave you a job two decades ago, you forfeit the right to ever criticise them in the future, even if they turn into a gigantic bigot.' Get [explective]" they added.

It's clear Emma is comfortable standing up for what she believes in, which is what makes her all the more fabulous!

"Lol so because Emma Watson was hired by JK Rowling decades ago she cant speak up about the vile toxic [explective] that comes out of her mouth?" echoed a different user.

"Emma Watson has ever right to stand up for what she believes in no matter what JK has done for her," they added.

Way to go, Emma!
