Hollywood is no stranger to divorce.

With short marriages like this and this, most couples are lucky if they get to one year! Some celeb couples even got married to each other several times before they finally get it right.

This makes you wonder if marriage in Hollywood is worth it at all...

Someone who knows all about divorce in Hollywood is Jamie-Lee Curtis.

Like many other celebs — Kate Hudson, Lily Collins, and Jennifer Aniston — she's the byproduct of famous families.

Her mother, Janet Leigh, is most known for her work on Psycho, while her father, Tony Curtis, is known for Some Like It Hot.

Jamie-Lee followed in her parents' footsteps to become a famous actress.

There's little she can do, as she has tried and succeeded at pretty much every genre there is, such as comedy, drama, horror, and so on.

But Curtis has always been open about the downsides of having famous parents.

During an episode of 'People in the '90s' podcast, she recalled how her parents prepared her for the harsh beauty norms in Hollywood.

"I'm the child of movie stars. I watched my parents get face lifts and neck lifts," Curtis said. "I watched their work diminish, I watched their fame not diminish."

"And the contradiction of a lot of fame, but not a lot of work, is really hard to navigate for people," she continued.

"Very hard to be famous but not be doing the thing that made you famous. And that for the rest of your life, you're famous for something you did a long time ago, and you chase that attention."

Growing up, Jamie-Lee witnessed another common casualty in Hollywood: a messy divorce.

Her parents, who split when she was three, were both married several times. After his marriage to Leigh ended, he married five more times.

His final marriage was to Jill Vandenberg.

The pair were married from 1998 until his death in 2010. In total, he had six children.

Leigh, on the other hand, only married once more after Tony. The second husband lasted until 1962 and then she married Robert Brandt.

She was with him until her death 42 years later.

Thankfully, being around these divorces didn't affect Jamie Lee's chances to have a successful marriage.

She's been with her husband, Christopher Guest, for 37 years now. The pair have two children: Ruby and Annie.

If that's not a testament to her not letting divorce affect her, this next post certainly is.

The Halloween actress recently reflected on the relationship her parents had in a black-and-white throwback image on Instagram.

"Once in a while when their images find me unexpectedly, I'm caught by not only their extreme beauty but their deep love and ambition," she began.

"As the product of 13 divorces in my immediate family I have often struggled with the idea of love, what happens to it?"

"There are only a couple reminders to me that I was born from love and not resentment, competition, jealousy and rancor which are the cornerstones of any unpleasant divorce," she continued.

"I also forget that they were famous and loved worldwide," she added of her mom and dad.

"Happy hump day Janet and Tony. Thanks for love and life!"
