Food shopping is stressful enough in itself, but food shopping with kids makes things even harder. Trying to get everything done with a screaming child is definitely not ideal.
Recently, mom Patricia Larkin was shopping in Aldi when a woman stopped her.
Larkin was carrying her baby in a baby carrier, so the mom made a comment to her about it.
According to Larkin, the woman said, “Mom life, huh?” to her.
Larkin smiled and thought nothing of the remark.
Most people comment on adorable children in public, so Larkin didn’t think it was too strange.
However, later, she realized that the woman complained about her to the cashier at Aldi— claiming Larkin’s baby was fake.
In Larkin’s now viral Facebook post, she responded to the mom who complained.
“Well, I don’t usually do ‘To the person who…’ posts but this one has me cracking up, so here we go…” she said in her post.
She continued, calling out the woman who complained.
“To the lady who told the cashier at Aldi that she thought I had a fake baby and was trying to smuggle yogurts out of the store…” she wrote.
The list was real.
“1. My baby is 100% real. 2. Yogurts are like $.25 at Aldi. 3. I’m lactose intolerant and don’t consume any dairy at all.”
However, she got a good laugh out of it.
“Thank you for the laugh, though. I really needed it because I was up all night tending to my (again, 100% real) baby,” she said.
Many people online thought it was too funny.

“Gorgeous baby girl! I’m pretty sure recently having a child that requires every expense for at least 18 years, you were sleepless, not over your infants sleep schedule, but how you were gonna pay for those .30 cent yogurts you were snuggling, oops I mean smuggling. people are crazy.”
Some people thought it was too crazy, though.

Others said people should mind their own business.
“Some people just cannot mind their own business. P.S. Your baby even looks real. WTF. Hope she didn’t ruin your day,” another comment said.
At the end of the day, people can make up some crazy stories.
