Relationships are always complicated, but they’re even moreso when you’re one of the most famous families in the world, like the Smiths. While it’s got to be tough for Will and Jada to live out a relationship issue in front of millions, it’s probably also been tough for their kids, Willow and Jaden, who have to know things about their parents’ relationship that they likely could’ve gone without knowing.
In July, the world was shocked by accusations that Jada Pinkett-Smith had had an affair during her marriage with Will Smith.
Musician August Alsina claimed that the two had been together, but that Will had given them his blessing for their relationship.

In order to set the record straight, the couple appeared on Jada’s show, The Red Table Talk .
During the episode, Jada confirmed that the two had had an “entanglement.”
Jada clarified however that she and Will were separated at the time. “The only person that could give permission in that particular circumstance is myself,” she said .
In a new episode, their daughter Willow has spoken out for the first time.
Willow told her mother that she was proud of how her parents handled the situation.
“I want to put it on the table,” Willow said . “I’m so proud of you. To be able to see you and Dad do that, for me, that was like, ‘Okay, that’s the real deal. That’s real love.'”
Willow emphasized that real love to her included being with each other through the hard times.
“When you can be like ‘I’m with you, I’m going to stand by you and I’m going to hold your hand, because I love you.’ That’s really important,” Willow said.
