Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain are no strangers to getting into fights.
Previously, the show drew headlines when the two got into an argument that ended with Whoopi telling Meghan, “Girl, please stop talking,” to which Meghan replied, “I won’t talk the rest of the show, no problem,” which lead many fans to believe the two did not get along outside of filming.
On a recent episode, the discussion turned heated after Joy mentioned that the debate over the Coronavirus relief bill had “turned into a working class versus elite class issue.”
Co-host Sunny Hostin added that “The suggestion, somehow, that this is a culture war, that this is a class war doesn’t really make a lot of sense. What this is really about is the haves not wanting the have nots to survive this. And that is really, really serious.”
Meghan interrupted with “That is just ridiculous!” as Whoopi tried to speak up.
“Hold on, I just want to — let me finish my point!” Whoopi insisted, but Meghan continued to attempt to talk over her.
“No, it’s a D******t wish list!” Meghan repeated. “How are we going to tax people when there’s no economy?”
Eventually, Whoopi used her powers as moderator to throw to commercial break, completely drowning out Meghan who was still talking.
