Unlikely things happen more than you might think. Now, this doesn’t happen nearly enough to change the unlikely to the likely, but it does occur with enough regularity that plenty of these occurrences have been captured on camera.
Some are spectacular , others more mundane, but all seem pretty unlikely.
“By chance, everything in the recycle bin is a shade of green today.”

Eco-friendly waste containers, such as recycling bins, often come in shades of green. As it happens, sometimes everything that gets thrown in them is also a shade of green.
“This one icicle is sideways, unlike the others.”

I understand that wind can push icicles sideways, causing them to freeze at an angle. But if that’s the case, why are the icicles on the front of the building — which would have been facing the same stiff wind — hanging straight down?
“A one in a million chance!”

I wouldn’t believe this if the package was opened, but OP brought the receipts (in this case, bringing the receipts means they left the package sealed). I’m not sure if it’s a one in a million chance, but it still seems rare.
“Tossed my hat from my bathroom onto my bed and it landed in the most unlikely of ways.”

As a regular wearer of baseball hats, I can say that they have some weird properties when tossed. Sometimes, they like to perch in the most precarious way possible.
“Our group’s colors happened to cover the full spectrum of the rainbow.”

Considering how outerwear often comes in a limited range of colors, it’s an incredible coincidence that everyone wore something different — and that the range of colors perfectly colored a full rainbow.
“Found this rock with odd shaped hole.”

Water turbulence can cause small pebbles to drill down through rock over time. But in those cases, it’s a straight hole. I have no idea what would have caused this unusual phenomenon.
“For the last couple of weeks I’ve noticed this tiny plant growing out of the side of my apartment building.”

“I almost ripped it out of there, but I thought I’d give it a chance to live. Today, it sprouted what appears to be the tiniest orchid I’ve ever seen.”
Where there’s a will, there’s a way, and clearly this tiny orchid had the will.
“This oddly shaped tomato we grew.”

Gardeners encounter all kinds of unusual flowers and veggies in their gardens over the years, but I’m going to guess that a tomato that’s shaped like a…well, shaped like this…is a pretty rare thing to grow.
“This unlikely pairing.”

I like how the caption for this makes it seem like the massive tree and the tiny brick were star-crossed lovers whose pairing couldn’t be denied. Then again, I kind of like this narrative, so let’s stick with it.
“What are the odds of having three dollars with consecutive numbers?”

If this trio of bills came directly from the bank, I’m guessing the odds are pretty good of this happening. But if they didn’t come directly from the bank, it seems incredibly unlikely.
“I saw this a couple of days ago, odds are 1 in over 302 million.”

I’m not sure how this person calculated those odds, but they seem right, so let’s stick with it. Things would be even crazier if they were both the same model of car.
“The cat had a secret life.”

The coat patterns on cats and dogs are often so distinctive that they seem one-of-a-kind. In that case, this cat must have been doing some modeling on the side, because the cat on the label is a dead ringer.
“This book I am currently reading has not been physically checked out since 1973. The nostalgia…”

I don’t think the term ‘nostalgia’ fits here, exactly, since OP wasn’t the one who checked the book out back in 1973. Still, if you’re the first person to check it out in nearly half a century, it’s noteworthy.
“Just a snake crawling out of my wife’s car at customs during a random check.”

Going through a customs checkpoint is a stressful, tense ordeal at the best of times, and the best of times don’t usually include a surprise snake crawling out of your belongings.
“This pen abomination that’s slightly defying physics and running on pure spite.”

Once you’ve strung together enough pens and the structure doesn’t collapse under its own weight, you start to feel invincible. This pic is a demonstration of why we shouldn’t play god.
“A meteorite that narrowly missed a women by landing next to her while she was asleep.”

Looking at this pic and reading the description made me wince. Imagine waking up to a flaming hot rock next to your head and a small hole in your roof.
“Someone parked underground with their sunroof open and a pipe burst above them.”

When you park in an enclosed structure, it stands to reason that your vehicle isn’t going to get wet, so go ahead and leave the sunroof or the soft top down. Or, conversely, don’t do that.
“A beer can fell out of our fridge and landed like this.”

I like how this person took the time to take out their phone and snap a pic of this unlikely happening. I would have just shrugged and picked the can up.
“Went to get a plate at my parents’ house, opened the cabinet to see the bowls defying physics.”

Ultimately, my cupboards always wind up looking like this because I have no concept of how many bowls can properly fit in a shelf.
“Found this seagull that has two pupils.”

To be fair, most seagulls have two pupils. OP should have clarified here that this seagull has two pupils in the same eye , which is certainly a more unusual trait to possess.
