US President Donald Trump has broken his silence after rumors circulated over the weekend that he might have passed away.
There have been concerns over his health
Rumors about the 79-year-old POTUS’ death started circulating online over the weekend.
This comes after concern for his health was sparked following pictures of a large bruise on his hand.
The White House also confirmed he’s ill
Earlier this year, the White House also confirmed that Trump, who is the oldest presidential candidate sworn into office in US history, was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.
The condition means his leg veins have become damaged and are unable to carry blood back up to the heart as efficiently as they once could.

Rumors were sparked over the weekend
With a number of photos of a bruise on Trump’s hand or splotches of what appears to be makeup on it making the rounds on social media for the past few weeks, a further, more shocking rumor has been circulating over the weekend.
People thought he was dead
The bizarre rumor which broke the internet over the weekend showed thousands of people seem to assume the president had died.
Interestingly, this started because Trump hadn’t been seen in public in two days when he usually makes an appearance almost every day.
Photos of him later came out
Instead of assuming the president was simply taking a day off, a lot of users online rushed to conclude that he had died.
Although Trump had no public events scheduled for Saturday, August 30, which is around when the gossip started, he was later pictured on the South Lawn with his granddaughter Kai Trump, per New York Post.
He responded to the rumors
Taking to Truth Social, Trump defiantly posted, “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE! President DJT.”
It was in reply to another post
The president’s post was in response to another by a MAGA supporter who said, “Joe Biden would go multiple days at a time without any public appearances and the media would say he’s ‘sharp’ and ‘top of his game’.”
The poster added, “President Trump puts in more public work hours than any other POTUS in US history and media freaks out if he disappears for 24 hours. Comical double standard.”
