I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, that I’m not the best DIYer in the world. Don’t get me wrong, I love the idea of it, but I simply lack the skill or the time required to perfect a project.
And from the looks of it, these folks should have quit while they were ahead because this is not how you DIY . Take a look and judge for yourself.
1. This Porcelain Aesthetic
Wait a minute. Are these ants I see crawling on this porcelain? As it turns out, it’s just the design. There’s only one thing that comes to mind when I look at this, and it’s, “why?”
2. This Homemade Scooter
Hey kids, if you can’t afford to buy yourself a scooter, I have a great idea for you. Check this out. How would you like to ride this thing to school? Yeah, I didn’t think so, ha, ha!
3. This Bench
What can you possibly do with an old pair of jeans, a men’s shirt, and suede boots? Well, you can sell them, or you can make yourself a bench that nobody would want to use, like ever. Am I right?
4. This Desk
I admit I may not have as an eclectic taste in furniture as some people, but you must agree with me that this here is a monstrosity, no? Who in their right mind would put this in their office?
5. This Custom Jewelry
Let me ask you: if you had a bone removed from your body, would you use it to make custom jewelry from it? Um, I think not. This person did, and I don’t know how I feel about looking at it.
6. This TV Remote Control
Parents, listen up. Never let your kids bedazzle any of your remote controls. Not if you want to have an aneurysm every time you try to use one. It does look pretty but totally confusing, huh?
7. This Mood Ring Toilet Seat
Just when I thought humanity reached the epitome of stupidity, I found this. Imagine getting home to find somebody used your toilet and their but was obviously angry? Um, no. I don’t think so.
8. This Unusual Ride
Did you ever watch Pimp My Ride ? Well, I don’t think they have ever seen the likes of this on that show, ha, ha! Just what goes on inside must be quite a story. However, I really don’t want to know.
9. These Roller Boots
When I was a kid, I had the coolest roller skates. I honestly wish I still had them so I could ride around my neighborhood. Perhaps the person who made these boots was feeling nostalgic, too.
10. These Teeth
Oh my, this is definitely a new beauty trend I’m not quite aware of here. I don’t know why, but when I look at this, it makes me want to say, “Thif lookf ftupid”. Do you hear what I’m saying?
11. These False Lashes
Speaking of weird beauty trends, this one is giving me the heebie-jeebies. As soon as I read the word “roaches,” they pretty much lost me here. Why would anybody want to buy this? It’s beyond my understanding.
12. This Bathroom Decor
At first, I was like, “That’s a cool bathroom wallpaper,” but then I found out this person used their spare Pokémon cards to decorate this. Um, okay? I don’t see the point of it, but you go for it.
13. This “Designer” Lamp
Nowadays, everyone thinks they’re some kind of designer. Can you believe somebody is actually trying to sell this so-called “designer” lamp for 80 euros? Um, yeah, I don’t think so. It’s just a broken bottle.
14. This Before-And-After
If you ever wanted to change up the look of the interior of your car, here’s an idea for you. What do you think? Isn’t this quite an improvement? I’m being sarcastic, of course.
15. This Truck Upgrade
Um, what am I looking at here? It looks like this truck is heading straight for me. But actually, this is what they did to it to make it look that way, and it’s pretty stupid if you ask me.
16. This Bumper Fix
Seriously, people? Who uses a succulent to fix their old bumper? I admit this is something I’ve never seen before, so I applaud their creativity here. But still, it’s a little unorthodox, no? Or do you like it? Ha, ha!
17. Note to self: get smaller boobs.
This attempt to make makeshift masks out of bras is so early 2020. We did what we had to do to try and keep ourselves safe, but sometimes hacks just don’t go to plan — especially if your cup size is up there.
18. This is So Sad.
Listen, this DIY attempt at a Captain America light would still make Steve Rogers proud. He would be so pleased someone did their best, you know? Even if the result looks like a kid’s drawing, it’s still the attempt that matters.
19. Yeah, I Don’t Think That’s Usable.
This is a DIY cane that a wife made for her husband, and can I just say: ow. I’m really hoping he never tried to use this thing, because that’s a trip to the hospital waiting to happen.
20. Seems Safe
Um, what? This is apparently a mailbox, but damn if I know what else it is. It can’t be a functioning microwave, right? Because why would you need that combo of items? I’m scared.
21. Hydro Dipping Gone Wrong
This is why you should never mess with a wedding dress. This DIY involved hydrodipping an entire person wearing the dress in a bin of water, then spraying paint on the surface. It looks like hot garbage.
22. This Iconic Fail
This one is a true classic. This IKEA assembly went horribly wrong, and the result is one of the best fails I’ve ever seen. That is the posture of someone who has been defeated by their DIYs.
23. What Thought Process Happened Here?
“As a landlord, I am constantly amazed at some things my tenants do. I installed new curtain rods before the new tenant moved in, but she still felt it necessary to nail the curtains to the wall.”
24. Well, That’s Going to Melt
“My dad’s hot glue and silver spray paint lampshade “
Um, the minute that lighbulb goes on, that glue is going to melt right off. Also, sorry dad, but that thing is ugly as hell.
25. This Landscaping
Yes, technically, you can use empty wine bottles to adorn your driveway, but that doesn’t mean you should. Now, these unfortunate new owners have to get rid of them all. I bet they’re not too happy about it.
26. This Garage
Speaking of cars, what do you think of this garage here, huh? I have to give it to them, this isn’t something you see every day. I wonder how the whole neighborhood feels about it. What do you think?
Wow, now I don’t feel quite as bad about my lack of DIY skills, ha, ha!
At least, I didn’t make any of these tragic items here. Let me ask you: What was your worst DIY fail? Don’t worry, I promise I won’t make too much fun of you.
