Queen Elizabeth II has found a similar way to pay tribute to her late husband, Prince Philip.
The Royal Family announced that Prince Philip had passed away at the age of 99 on April 9th.

“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss,” they shared in a statement .
Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth had been married since 1947.

The couple was married for 70 years, and Prince Philip was the longest-serving royal consort in British history, having gained in the title in 1952, despite no longer attending public engagements since 2017.
The Queen has made her first public appearance since his passing, and she honored him in a special way.

The Queen held virtual audiences with incoming ambassadors, as shared by the Royal Family on Instagram, and many eagle-eyed fans noticed the brooch that Her Majesty was wearing was very familiar.
The diamond-encrusted Cartier rose was given to The Queen by the Nizam Of Hyderabad .
The brooch had been given to the Queen as a wedding gift to commemorate her marriage to Prince Philip.

What a sweet and touching way to honor her late husband in her first public appearance since his passing.
