There are tons of subtle and small signs that a person is pretty stupid .
My mother always told me, “common sense is not that common .” And, by that, we mean that even though people think that everyone has some common sense in their head, not everyone does. Some people just really are dumb as nails and, when they show you, believe them.

They get upset when you do the right thing.
Some say that a sure-fire sign of stupidity is when people get mad at your successes or when you do the right thing.
Some people feel like they can’t get there, or can’t reach that achievement, so instead of being happy for you, they get mad.

Choosing to be ignorant.
“Personally, I believe a person is stupid when they refuse to learn and willingly choose to stay ignorant. I’m not talking about people that are “unable” to learn, I’m talking about people that are able to learn, yet they choose not to,” said yaspino.

For example—men thinking catcalling is not that bad.
Not believing things when there is actual proof.
TechyDad shared that many people believe in conspiracy theories or even regular old theories with tons of proof, but there will be those who feel as though they are untrue, despite how much proof there is there.
They’re purely reactive.
“They’re purely reactive. Nary a thought occurs before anything they do: if something is done or said they immediately react without any consideration for what just happened. No insight or introspection after the fact, either,” wrote WolfySpice.
Bad drivers lack common sense.
“I don’t mean reckless driving or inability to drive, I mean bad judgment of situations on the road. “Oh look all these cars are parked in the middle of the road. That’s stupid of them” *proceeds to overtake a long line of cars that were stopped at a red light,” shared dhrbtdge.
People who don’t eat well.
glarimous shared that if you eat poorly, it can negatively impact your brain.
That means that you can lack common sense and be rather dumb if you eat poorly because you’re not getting the right nutrients to your brain.
They cannot read.
“Complete and utter lack of reading comprehension. I’m talking like, I don’t even know how these people have jobs/function daily when they are middle-aged people who can barely read. I myself don’t have the greatest reading comprehension, but I mean, people who can’t even read a Facebook post properly,” shared nero8080.
People who only see things in black and white.
BMXTKD said that those who see things in only black and white always lack common sense. There are many gray areas in the world and in life, it’s important to not just see things in black and white.
