Remember that intense desire you had to make both your brows and lips into squiggle shapes? No? Well, me either, but apparently that is becoming a thing on the strange, questionable place that is the internet.
Before it was squiggle brows, and everyone took to creating their own shapes and curves and squiggle patterns, but now the trend has grown legs and crawled down a bit to our mouths. Too difficult to imagine? I understand. Continue scrolling to see the eccentric trend in action:
Earlier this week, squiggle brows wormed their way into our social feeds and a lot of people didn’t know how to feel.
Me being one of those people.
Wondering how people are doing this? Brows can be shaped into a ~squiggle~ brow with washable glue. No plucking and nothing permanent, thank goodness.
Phew! That means the squiggle can be undone (un-squiggled?). Can you imagine people walking around with eyebrows that look like this all the time?
We all sort of assumed that would be the last of the squiggle makeup trends. Well, we were wrong, because there is a similar trend that has followed suit: squiggle lips. Yes, I’m serious.
These aren’t edited, either. She used makeup to create this optical illusion, so even if they do freak us out, can we take a minute to appreciate this grand artistry?
People are putting their own spin on it by using different colors and squiggle shapes, and making them all their own.
Lisa Frank is shaking right now with this deep shade of purple.
Whether these squiggles speak to you or not, one thing is for sure: these will make anyone do a double take.
Looking to make a huge statement with your makeup this morning? Can’t make a bigger statement than altering the shape of your lips!
I would assure everyone that this is the last of the squigglies, but after seeing this look surface, I don’t know if I can make that promise. What wild, wavy trend could be next?
Maybe squiggle liner? Probably already a thing. Squiggle lashes? Anything is possible, really.
