It’s hard to imagine The Talk without Sharon Osbourne. Sharon has been on the panel of hosts for eleven seasons since the show’s premiere in 2011 — in fact, she’s the only host who has been on every season since the beginning.
However, following recent controversy surrounding both Sharon’s support for controversial figure Piers Morgan as well as behind-the-scenes accusations of racism, it seems like Sharon might not be returning for the remainder of the show.
In a controversial episode of *The Talk* earlier this month, Sharon was questioned on her defense of controversial British television personality Piers Morgan.
Piers has been accused of racism, specifically towards Meghan Markle.
Sharon got into a heated exchange with co-host Sheryl Underwood, during which she denied that supporting Piers meant she supported all of his opinions and she alleged his issues with Markle were not based on her race.
Following this incident, *The Talk* announced it was going on a brief hiatus to conduct an internal investigation.

A report from journalist Yashar Ali also came out alleging that Sharon referred to former The Talk co-host Julie Chen as “wonton” and “slanty eyes.” Yashar cited multiple unnamed sources, as well as another former The Talk co-host, Leah Remini.
Sharon has denied these allegations and has now spoken out about her fate on The Talk in a new interview.
Sharon revealed she’s not sure if she’ll be returning to the show when it resumes.

“I wish we could go on and have a adult conversation calmly and work it out but I don’t know whether we can,” Sharon said . “I don’t know whether it’s gone past that. I would love to but I don’t know whether I even want to go back.”
“I don’t know whether I’m wanted there,” Sharon went on.

“I own up to what I did,” she added. “I can’t not own up. I said what I said. I got too personal with Sheryl. I should’ve never said stop her tears. She was hurting as I was hurting.”
