It’s always heartwarming to find out that some celebrities go out of their way to help others, even when there’s nothing in it for them. Ryan Reynolds recently showed he’s willing to sacrifice some of his own wealth in order to help those who need it, but not in the charitable way we’ve come to expect from most celebrities.
Ryan Reynolds is no stranger to giving back.

Whether he’s making a large donation to a charitable fund, video-chatting with kids in the hospital, or auctioning off his own clothes for those in need, he’s pretty well-versed in helping others.
A news story out of Vancouver recently caught his eye as something he could potentially help with.
It all started when a reporter for the CBC in Vancouver, Canada (Ryan’s hometown) made a tweet.
The tweet was asking people to help locate a missing bear that had been stolen inside a backpack. The bear was special as “Mara, the owner says it has her mom’s voice inside saying, ‘I love you I’m proud of you, I’ll always be with you. Her mom died last year.”
Ryan brought awareness to this event but also offered a reward.
“Vancouver: $5,000 to anyone who returns this bear to Mara. Zero questions asked. I think we all need this bear to come home,” he tweeted. Fellow actors Dan Levy and Zach Braff also re-shared Ryan’s post, asking for help locating the bear.
While the bear has not been found yet, the search is still on.
Ryan’s tweet definitely helped bring awareness to this situation. “Ryan Reynolds doesn’t need my help getting this out there, but I’ll do it anyways because it’s the right thing to do,” one fan shared .
We’re wishing Mara all the best luck in locating her bear and bringing it home!
