When times are hard, it’s easy to long for the past. It might be because of nostalgia, or it might be because everything was significantly better when I was growing up.
Seriously though, does anything beat the ’80s? Sure, the fashion and eye makeup was over the top — but have you seen what the kids these days wear? It’s hardly an improvement.
So when I heard Rob Lowe was calling for a “Brat Pack” reunion, I couldn’t have teased my hair fast enough!
The 1980s were an incredibly important time in our country’s culture.
Not only did it birth the most rockin’ pop music, but it also gave us classic films I still enjoy to this day.
So many of these beloved films involved members of the affectionately titled “Brat Pack” — a group of young, up-and-coming actors that included Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Andrew McCarthy, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Demi Moore, and Ally Sheedy.
The Brat Pack starred in countless hit movies, including *Pretty In Pink, The Outsiders*, and *St. Elmo’s Fire*.
Now, Rob Lowe is teasing the idea of a reunion of the former teen idols and I, for one, would be SO excited to see it come true.
To be honest, I haven’t seen a movie I actually liked in a long time! MAYBE I’m just picky, or maybe I just have an unquenchable thirst that can only be cured with some BRAT PACK!
While chatting with *Good Day New York*‘s Rosanna Scotto, Rob said he believes now is the perfect time for a Brat Pack comeback!
“It’s funny, I think the world needs some iteration of it!” he explained .
“There is not enough in the world to make fun of, I think the Brat Pack should volunteer.”
While the 56-year-old doesn’t have an idea totally ironed out yet, he thinks a modern-day Brat Pack project should “be something weird and offbeat and quirky.”

I love this instead of a traditional reboot, which we have been SO oversaturated with lately!
“Is it a cartoon? Like a version of *Scooby-Doo*? I don’t know,” Rob laughed.

“But hey, why not. … [Or] how about Brat Pack as Big Brother? How about that?”
I truly think Rob is onto something here! I would love to see this idea come to fruition! What about you? Are you interested in a Brat Pack reunion? Let us know in the comments below!
