There’s nothing scarier when you’re a parent than your child being in danger or potentially getting hurt. Fashion designer Rachel Zoe had a harrowing experience this weekend with her nine-year-old son, Skyler, after a terrifying accident involving a ski lift. Rachel has opened up about the experience on her Instagram.
Rachel Zoe is a famous fashion designer.
Rachel also rose to prominence when she starred in the reality series The Rachel Zoe Project which ran for five seasons on Bravo.
She’s also got another very important job — mom!
Rachel shares two children with her husband, Rodger Berman.

The couple share sons Kaius, born in 2013, and Skyler, born in 2011.
Recently, Skyler was involved in a scary accident involving a ski lift, as Rachel shared on her Instagram story.
“So I don’t typically share like this, but I’m posting this to remind everyone how fragile life is and how it can turn in a minute,” Rachel Zoe shared on her Instagram story.

“The outcome is Sky is doing great and the bravest boy I’ve ever known but @rbermanus and I are shattered and numb but woke up together with gratitude for a miracle that Sky is safe and OK,” Rachel shared alongside a photo of Skyler in a hospital bed in the emergency room. She revealed that Skyler had fallen off a ski lift 40 feet off the ground.
Rachel opened up more about the details of the accident.

“Sky fell 40 feet from a ski lift yesterday which could have been easily prevented if the operator had stopped the lift when he saw Sky wasn’t on from the start and [husband Rodger Berman] screaming to stop the lift.”
“Needless to say by a miracle and the ski patrol heroes, who quickly put a mat under where they thought he would fall, ultimately saved his life from what could have happened.”

Rachel added that Skyler was in “great spirits but sore and banged up a bit, but otherwise a brave champion.”
Rachel went on to thank her fans and friends for the support during this difficult time.

“I have never felt more love from so many of you. Sky read every message and is so happy and grateful as am I,” Rachel said in an Instagram post.
Rachel added that Skyler showed even more bravery than her and her husband.

“Truth be told Sky was more brave than either of us and we continue to just kiss, hug and simply just stare at him until further notice,” Rachel wrote.
“Hug your babies extra from us today.”

Skyler himself spoke up on a later Instagram story from his own bed.
“Hi everyone. I’m OK, just sore,” he said.

“To show you that I’m OK, I’m gonna stand up. See look, I can stand up, and I can walk. See, I’m totally fine, it’s just I’m a little sore and I’m kinda hurting, but I’m fine,” Skyler revealed.
“I am doing pretty well,” Skyler said while sitting on a couch. “I could walk, I could run and I could go upside down.

“But besides that, my neck is a little sore, but I’m doing pretty well. I’m doing pretty good. Thank you, guys, for looking out for me,” he said in the video.
