If you’re a parent, then you probably know the struggle and annual tradition of “The Elf on the Shelf”.
Each year, this small, posable doll wrecks havoc on parent’s holiday schedules while inspiring wonder in their children.
The idea is that the elf watches the children and reports on their behavior to Santa in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

It’s a cute idea, but it’s also a bit of a pain in the butt. You have to remember to move that darn elf every single night, or else the illusion is ruined.

This cute critter is inspired, of course, by Peeps, those sugary marshmallow treats that come around every Easter.
I know I’m one of those people who could eat Peeps by the bucket.
They’re so soft and, yes, I know they’re basically pure sugar, but they’re so yummy! Thankfully, they only come around once a year.
“Peep on a Perch” is pretty similar to the Elf On The Shelf.
You can find the set on Amazon and it includes a small, stuffed Peep and a storybook. Sadly, no candy Peeps are included.
According to the story, the Peep helps the Easter bunny fill baskets.
In the weeks leading up to Easter, it watches children help out around the house and use their manners. The more good behavior it sees, the happier the Peep gets!
It seems like “Peep on a Perch” is a little less labor-intensive than the Elf.
It sounds like the Peep just sits and watches, but of course, you can move him and do funny poses if you’d like!
Or, you can just buy one of these jumbo bunny Peep stuffies. The choice is up to you.
