The concert was first announced by Lady Gaga.
The singer revealed she had worked with Global Citizen to raise $35 million towards the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.
She also revealed she was putting together the ‘One World: Together At Home’ concert.
Many celebrities participated in the benefit concert that lasted over 8 hours with over 60 performances from celebrities like Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Adam Lambert, Lizzo, BTS, and Jennifer Hudson.
The concert also featured appearances from other celebrities who aren’t musicians.

Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey, and more were all present during the livestream to help raise money for the cause.
Global Citizen just announced that the concert raised over $127 million dollars.
