Singer, song-writer, and former member of the world’s biggest boyband One Direction Louis Tomlinson has just released his debut album Walls , and is currently out on a press tour promoting it.
Louis stopped by the television show BBC Breakfast to promote the album.
However, it was clear that Louis quickly felt uncomfortable about the line of questioning during the interview, particularly when the hosts brought up the tragic deaths of his mother in 2016 and his 18-year-old sister in 2019.
“I’ve just released my first album, that’s what we’re here for,” Louis reminded the hosts.

The interviewers then brought up his 2015 feud with fellow former member of One Direction, Zayn Malik, and the possibility of a reunion with the band, to which Louis responded, “You’ve ticked them all off — trauma, Zayn, and we’re finally on this one.”
After the interview was over, Louis took to Twitter to voice his frustration with the experience.

Dan Walker, one of the interviewers from BBC Breakfast, responded to Louis, asking, “Sorry you feel like that. It was nice to speak to you on #BBCBreakfast this morning. Can I ask what you are upset about?”
“I was upset that you continued to ask me about my grief.”
“It goes without saying how hard it is to lose both people so close to me. The least I ask is that you respect my decision of not wanting to be asked in interviews about something so painful,” Louis responded.
Louis then stated that simply because his music touches on these tough subjects doesn’t mean that it’s up for discussion in interviews.
Walker’s responded saying “We know it’s painful which is why we didn’t dwell on it. No intention to upset you or be ‘gossipy’ about it at all. That’s not our style.”
The network also said in a statement to CNN , “We wanted to cover all aspects of Louis’ life that have influenced his new album and feel the questioning was fair.”
“Anyway, [expletive] the negativity now. It’s been a siiiiiick week,” Louis tweeted out.

It’s clear that Louis intends to move on from this controversy.
