Lynn Wojton, a new mother from Manhattan, is now dealing with the aftermath of a nanny who wouldn’t follow her feeding instructions.
Wojton hired Marcia Chase-Marshall, a nanny, to help with her newborn daughter during the nights so that she could catch up on some sleep.
According to “The New York Post”, the nanny was supposed to wake up Wojton when the baby needed a feeding.
Wojton’s daughter was exclusively breastfed. On their third night home from the hospital, Wojton says the nanny failed to wake her up.
Marshall-Chase allegedly confessed to feeding the baby formula when confronted by Wojton.
“I was very upset,” Wojton said in an interview with The New York Post . “This is not what I wanted — this is not what I want — for my baby.
Wojton claims that the nanny thought formula was best for the baby.
Marshall-Chase allegedly admitted to feeding the baby formula because it was less work and allowed her to get more sleep, according to the mother’s suit.
On social media, many commenters sided with Wojton.
Many seemed to agree that the nanny should have followed the mother’s instructions, regardless of her opinion. This is a decision that is 100% left up to the parents.
However, some people criticized Wojton for hiring a nanny in the first place.

Wojton is seeking $10,00 in damages from Chase-Marshall.
Chase-Marshall has not commented on the suit.
Wojton has since hired a new nanny and she and her daughter are doing well.
