I know this from experience — when you shave your head, you open the world of dramatic haircuts wide while it grows back in. You can color it, style it, buy a wig and cover it… your options are pretty much limitless. Clearly, Millie Bobby Brown agrees with me, because she’s gone in two dramatic directions in one week with her hair.
Millie has been having a big year.
She started her own skincare line, Florence By Mills, which seems pretty cute until you start to wonder why a 15-year-old needs a skincare routine.
She got into a bit of hot water when she shared this video showcasing how to use the products.
It seems pretty standard until you realize, as most people watching did, that at no point did any of the product actually touch her skin.
She made an Instagram post a few days later explaining the video.
“I thought doing a quick video replicating my personal process for that night was okay, but that’s not what was conveyed,” she wrote.
So that’s why her skin has made the news lately. Her hair is a different story.
A hair refresher: Millie Bobby Brown brought bald back.
As Eleven in Stranger Things , Millie made shaved chic again, although she did it for the character, not for the style. She said of the cut, “The day I shaved my head was the most empowering moment of my whole life.”
Lately, she’s been rocking a mid-length style.
And she’s looked super trendy doing it. It looks like Millie might’ve gotten bored with the growing out process, though, because she took matters into her own hands.
Her first dramatic choice: extensions!
Millie added a dramatic amount of length with extensions that went halfway down her torso, and she looked absolutely fantastic.
It almost tempted me into getting extensions.
In a video shared by the salon who provided the extensions, Millie says they feel “amazing” and that it was the first time she’d had long hair in four years.
Anyone else get flashbacks to the ‘Stranger Things’ wig scene? No? Just me?
The amazing feeling of long hair wore off, though, because the extensions were long but short lived.
Her second dramatic cut, literally the next day: extensions out, bleach blonde is IN!
Just a day later, a different salon posted a picture of Millie with a short cut again, this time having gone a bright blonde. Millie is one of those lucky people who look amazing no matter what they do.
How long did the blonde stick around for? Only time will tell.
When I was a teenager, if I’d been able to afford a new hairstyle every week, I definitely would’ve gotten one, so excuse me while I live vicariously through Millie’s adorable follicle adventures.
It wasn’t meant to be — Millie showed up for a press event with the extensions BACK in.
Or maybe a wig covering her new blonde ‘do? Millie is having the time of her life trying to decide which way she wants to wear her hair and I do not blame her. She looks amazing in every single style.
