There’s nothing like letting your mom give you a haircut on your 27th birthday.
Wait, is that not a thing most people do? Are you sure? It sounds pretty traditional to me.

It’s exactly what Miley Cyrus did, anyway.
Miley celebrated her 27th birthday on November 23rd.
And she let her mom cut at least two inches off her hair, as shown in this video that Tish Cyrus shared on her Instagram.
While Miley didn’t share the results of that exact haircut, a few days later she did debut this new look.
This isn’t Tish’s doing — celebrity stylist Sally Hershberger gave an interview explaining how Miley came in after her mom’s cut: “Miley wanted to go more punk. She wanted something edgy,” she said.
“We went with a modern mullet that she can wear sleek, but also wavy and messy.”
Sally explained how you can get this look at home, saying, “To get the edgy look, I precise-cut her hair with a pair of scissors and then used a razor to add definition.”
“We all loved the cut,” Sally says, despite online pushback.
“It was just the right vibe.”
