It’s wild when they old school Hollywood actors fight, right? Like I expect a Kardashian to be petty on social media. I expect certain Real Housewives to be ruthless on Twitter. You know what I don’t expect? Mickey Rourke calling out one Robert De Niro on Instagram this past weekend but alas, that is exactly what happened!
Mickey Rourke is best known for being a great actor *and* a great boxer!
You may know him from films like The Wrestler , Sin City and Iron Man 2 !
What you may NOT know about Mickey Rourke is that he has had some longtime beef with Hollywood legend Robert De Niro!
Yep, that’s right! It all started back when both actor’s appeared in Alan Parker’s 1987 film *Angel Heart.*
Mickey claims Robert “snubbed him” and the two have been budding heads ever since.
Now, Mickey is taking to Instagram to express his frustrations with the 76-year-old actor.
According to *Page Six*, in a since deleted Instagram post, Mickey wrote: “Hey Robert De Niro, that’s right i am talking to you, you big [expletive] crybaby.”

“A friend of mine just recently told me that a few months back you’re quoted as saying to newspapers ‘Mickey Rourke’s a liar he talks all kind of [expletive]. Listen Mr.Tough Guy in the movies, you’re the 1st person that ever called me a liar and it was in a newspaper.”
He continued: “Let me tell you something, you punk [expletive], when i see you i swear to God on my Grandmother, on my brother and all my dogs,i gonna embarrass you severely 100%. Mickey Rourke ‘ as God is my witness.'”
Yikes!
This outburst was caused by rumours swirling around Hollywood that Mickey was up for a role in the 2019 film *The Irishmen* which, of course, starred Robert.
“Marty Scorsese, great director, he wanted to meet me for a movie with Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Chris Walken and Robert De Niro,” Mickey alleged during an interview on an Italian TV show.
“The casting person told my manager that Robert De Niro said he refused to work with me in a movie.”
Robert’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, later responded to Mickey’s allegations in an attempt to clear the air.

“According to The Irishman producers, Jane Rosenthal and Emma Tillinger Koskoff, and casting director Ellen Lewis, Mickey Rourke was never asked to be in The Irishman nor was he ever even thought of, discussed or considered to be in the movie.”
Robert has yet to reply to the firey Instagram post.
