Politics has always been a messy and confusing world, but it gets even more messy and confusing when you add in the world of celebrities, whether its a former reality star getting elected as President, celebrities commenting on politics, or even celebrities getting directly involved in politics.
Musician Kanye West has definitely made the upcoming election a bit more messy in his own way.
Kanye West recently announced his intentions to run for President in the 2020 election on Twitter.

“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States,” Kanye tweeted this weekend, adding the hashtag, “#2020Vision.”
Responses to Kanye’s declaration were mixed, to say the least.
While some found the situation funny, others felt it was something to take seriously, whether it was Elon Musk telling Kanye he had his ‘full support’ or others worrying about Kanye splitting the vote .
There were a lot of people who felt Kanye announcing his intentions to run was decidedly not good.
One person who definitely does not support Kanye’s presidential bid is *The View* co-host Meghan McCain.

“There is no woman on planet earth, celebrity or private who could behave as unhinged and erratic as Kanye has the past few years & be taken seriously as a presidential candidate,” Meghan, whose father was presidential candidate John McCain, tweeted in response to Kanye’s announcement.
“Women are punished for raising our voices on tv, let alone saying things like ‘slavery was a choice.'”
Meghan’s tweet referenced Kanye’s controversial comments made about slavery being a choice on TMZ, which is one of many controversial moments Kanye has been a part of over the years.
