For 10 years, Married With Children was the sitcom everyone rushed home to watch.
It centered around the dysfunctional Bundy family , which includes Al, Peggy, Kelly, and Bud. For over 250 episodes, we watched as they laughed, cried, and tried not to kill each other — as most families do.
Like many other sitcoms, the show had many different guest stars over the years.

This includes everyone from Matt LeBlanc to Pamela Anderson to Alan Thicke. Since it’s been two decades since the show wrapped, it’s time to see what the cast has been up to now!
Ed O’Neill: Then

The actor was the perfect man to play Al Bundy, the head of the Bundy family who loved to blame his family for his shortcomings. Although his character had many character flaws, Ed still went on to win two Golden Globe nominations.
Ed O’Neill: Now

After starring on a hit sitcom for many years, Ed got a taste of this again when he starred as Jay Pritchett in the hit show Modern Family . While he was a lot like Al in some ways, he was a much softer and more loveable character.
Katey Sagal: Then

Before Katey took on the role of Peggy, her career was moving in a different direction: a musical direction. She had released two solo albums and worked as a background vocalist for other singers. She also had a short stint on The Mary Tyler Moore Show .
Katey Sagal: Now

Thankfully, Katey was never typecast as the vapid wife on Married With Children . This has allowed her to step in many different roles over the years, such as a lead role on 8 Simple Rules , playing Jax Teller’s mother on Son’s of Anarchy , and more.
Christina Applegate: Then

By the time Christina joined the show as the flirtatious Kelly Bundy, the then-15-year-old had many films and TV show credits under her belt.
Christina Applegate: Now

Since the show wrapped, Applegate has worked hard to become one of the most recognized female actresses around. Her best-known role was playing Veronica Coringstone in 2004’s Anchorman . Most recently, the actress was diagnosed with MS .
David Faustino: Then

David was only 13 when he signed on to play Al and Peggy’s son, Bud. While he had several credits under his name at that time, Married With Children was certainly his biggest role to date then.
David Faustino: Now

Since the show wrapped, David has kept his love of acting going. He has starred in several different series in on-and-off roles, such as on Modern Family with Ed O’Neill, Family , Entourage , and Bones .
Matt LeBlanc: Then

Before the actor became Joey on Friends , he appeared as a recurring character on Married With Children . He was a lot like Joey: handsome… with a screw loose up there somewhere.
Matt LeBlanc: Now

The actor’s entire world changed in 1994 when he was cast as Joey Tribbiani in the widely popular series, Friends . The show went on to last for 10 years. When it ended, he even had his own spin-off, Joey . Although that didn’t last long, he has found success in a sitcom about himself called Episodes .
Alan Thicke: Then

Thanks to his roles on Growing Pains , Alan had quite an impressive career for himself by the time he guest-starred on the show twice, in two different roles. The first was a businessman named Henry and the second was a car dealership owner who dated Peggy.
Alan Thicke: Now

The actor sadly passed away in 2016 at the age of 69. He had been playing hockey with his youngest son, Carter, when he collapsed. His cause of death was later revealed to be a “ruptured aorta” and a “standard type A aortic dissection.”
Ted McGinley: Then

Ted was one of the most famous actors to come on Married With Children , thanks to his previous work on Happy Days , The Love Boat , and Dynasty . He was the perfect man to play the good-looking Jefferson D’Arcy.
Ted McGinley: Now
Since the show ended in 1997, Ted has kept his impressive resume going. He had a part in Pearl Harbour as an Army Major, before shifting to more TV roles, such as The West Wing and Hope & Faith with Kelly Ripa.
Amanda Bearse: Then

Amanda played Peggy’s best friend, Marcy Rhoardes-D’Arcy, on Married With Children . Since she was a feminist, this meant that she often clashed with Al’s misogynistic behavior.
Amanda Bearse: Now
After being in front of the camera for years, the actress shifted her focus to behind-the-scenes. She has worked as a director for Dharma & Greg , MadTV , and The Big Gay Sketch Show with Rosie O’Donnell.
Pamela Anderson: Then

Pamela Anderson has spent a lot of time in the fantasies of men — including Ted Bundy. She appeared twice on Married With Children , once as Yvette who fights over Al with another blonde in underwear and then as Cashew in another fantasy sequence.
Pamela Anderson: Now

The bombshell actress has become a household name over the years, thanks to her work on Baywatch , her magazine spreads on P*****y , and more. Most recently, her relationship with Tommy Lee has been chronicled in the Hulu series, Pam and Tommy .
